Prices have plunged nearly 62% from a high of $9.62 in late August.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Two-week temperature outlooks for the Lower 48 show temperatures well above a 30-year average.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2023-01-06_09-43-30.png?itok=KanAXUFw\" data-link-option=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2023-01-06_09-43-30.png?itok=KanAXUFw\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This means heating demand for residential and commercial buildings will slump, alleviating supply concerns.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2023-01-06_10-04-45.png?itok=n1uPNNQq\" data-link-option=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2023-01-06_10-04-45.png?itok=n1uPNNQq\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"67c07091-2e22-4b84-be17-662a5291efcc\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" height=\"278\" width=\"500\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/2023-01-06_10-04-45.png?itok=n1uPNNQq\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Houston-based energy firm\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/criterionrsch.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Criterion Research<\/a>\u00a0sheds more color on why NatGas has fallen in recent weeks:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>The natural gas market began the new year with very strong production and low demand, relative to normal weather. If production runs flat through the remainder of the year and we get normal weather, it&#8217;s very likely that storage will be well above the five-year average by October 2022.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>There&#8217;s already chatter among weather folks on Twitter about the increasing possibilities of a polar vortex blast later this month or early next though nothing is concrete.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">EPS-weeklies showing some real signs of an SSWE &#8220;sudden stratospheric warming event&#8221; by week 3 and beyond which could at least make things a bit more interesting down the road.
