The NFL will honor<\/a> recovering Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin during Week 18 with multiple displays of support, the league announced Friday.<\/p>\n

Between field outlines and jersey patches, the 24-year-old\u2019s No. 3 will be easily spotted in the league\u2019s full slate of games this weekend. <\/a><\/p>\n

All 32 teams around the league will show their support for Damar Hamlin throughout Week 18.<\/p>\n

Hamlin is making a \u201cremarkable\u201d recovery<\/a> after he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest on Monday night in Cincinnati. While he is no longer relying on a breathing tube and can communicate,<\/a> fans continue to donate to his GoFundMe<\/a> and show their support.<\/p>\n

All 32 NFL clubs have been encouraged to read a public address prior to the national anthem regarding a \u201cmoment of support and love for Damar.\u201d Teams may also outline the \u201c3\u201d in each 30-yard line number on the field in Buffalo Bills red or blue.<\/p>\n

The Indianapolis Colts have already made the addition ahead of their Sunday matchup with the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Bills quarterback Josh Allen was eager to share that the team was ready to play in Hamlin\u2019s honor<\/a> once they heard that he was \u201cneurologically intact\u201d and improving.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Bills will wear \u201c3\u201d jersey patches as they face the New England patriots on Sunday.<\/p>\n

After Hamlin’s jersey sales skyrocketed<\/a>, Allen predicted that his presence would be felt when the team played. \u201cI expect to see a lot of 3 jerseys and 3 signs,\u201d Allen said. \u201cObviously, it\u2019ll be a little surreal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Across the league, all players will be offered \u201cLove for Damar 3\u201d t-shirts to wear during warm-ups.<\/p>\n

NFL highlighted Hamlin’s foundation in the announcement<\/h2>\n

Before he was drafted in 2021, Hamlin expressed a commitment to care for his community<\/a> by giving back to his hometown of McKees Rocks, Pa.<\/p>\n

While the football world waited for updates on his condition, they turned to that commitment. His foundation, Chasing M\u2019s, initially posted a local toy drive fundraiser on GoFundMe in 2020, and since his cardiac emergency teams, athletes, fans, organizations and more came together to donate $7 million<\/a> to it.<\/p>\n

Now, the foundation has established a fund to receive donations directly at chasingmsfoundation.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hamlin\u2019s first question when conscious was, \u201cDid we win?\u201d<\/a> When able to speak, he FaceTimed into the Bill\u2019s team meeting and said \u201clove you boys.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

With that much love for the game, it\u2019s not a leap to imagine that Hamlin will see and appreciate some of these tributes.<\/p>\n
