Monday\u2019s announcement that Tucker Carlson<\/a>is leaving<\/a>Fox News<\/a> may have been as much of a surprise for Carlson as it was for everyone else.<\/p>\n

Although the network\u2019s statement suggested Carlson\u2019s departure was mutual, Carlson gave \u2015 or had \u2015 no clue it was coming during the final moments of Friday\u2019s broadcast \u2015 which is now known to be his last.<\/p>\n

During the last segment on his final show, Carlson ate pizza with Tyler Morrell<\/a>, a Pennsylvania pizza delivery driver who helped arrest a suspect eluding police<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In fact, his final signoff is a cheerful, \u201cWe\u2019ll be back on Monday,\u201d though it\u2019s now clear that isn\u2019t happening.<\/p>\n
