Mayor London Breed Chased Off By Violent, Screaming Mob During Presser In SF Junkie Nest To Denounce Drug Epidemic <\/span><\/p>\n

From the annals of “What was she thinking?,” <\/strong><\/em>here’s\u00a0San Francisco’s mayor, London Breed.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0New York Post<\/a>:<\/p>\n

San Francisco Mayor London Breed and the city’s board of supervisors were forced to retreat inside after a meeting they attempted to hold in a notorious open-air drug market was disrupted by jeers, shouting and a woman who hurled a brick into the crowd<\/strong>, according to a report.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, city leaders decided to hold the meeting outdoors in United Nations Plaza to highlight problems plaguing the area \u2014\u00a0including surging fentanyl overdoses<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 and to discuss potential solutions,\u00a0KRON4 reported<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Breed and Supervisor Aaron Peskin took to the podium and proclaimed the city has been tolerating “illegal, out-of-control behavior for far too long.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

“Many San Franciscans do not feel safe,”<\/strong><\/em> Peskin said.<\/p>\n

“Brazen drug dealing and deteriorating street conditions have exacerbated a humanitarian crisis on our streets.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But less than 10 minutes after the meeting began, it was cut short as the crowd hurled insults at the mayor and supervisors until they just walked away from the podium<\/strong>, according to KRON.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Suffice to say, it didn’t end well.<\/p>\n

Breed’s city has been turned into a crime- and homeless-infested hellhole on her watch. A feces-strewn\u00a0open-air drug market in many quarters, where junkies, addicts, criminals, vagrants, and bums all gather together for their drug deals, panhandling, and shoplifting projects.\u00a0\u00a0This particular hellhole, at United Nations Plaza, has always been a center of mayhem \u2014 I remember it as a trash-strewn, urine-soaked junkie\u00a0redoubt when I lived in the city 30 years ago.<\/p>\n

It hasn’t changed any, except that an infusion of city money to NGOs to “help”\u00a0the homeless has made it a lot nastier.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Anyone who’s ever lived in that city\u00a0would know that that’s not the place you go for a well heeled press conference announcing all the new government money you are going to be spending to end crime in the city.<\/p>\n

You don’t go into a tiger’s lair\u00a0to talk about how you’ll be taming the tigers.\u00a0\u00a0You don’t go into a terrorist den and denounce terrorism if you have anything resembling a brain.\u00a0\u00a0And you especially don’t go into an open-air drug market, full of dealers and their customers, to talk about how\u00a0you’ll be ending the fentanyl crisis, putting junkies in compelled\u00a0treatment, and shutting the scene\u00a0down because “everyone”\u00a0opposes this activity.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Actually, what should be news to Breed is that some people are for it \u2014 the dealers, their addicted clients, and the NGOs that thrive on “serving” and perpetuating the situation for the sake of\u00a0winning more government\u00a0funding.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is their home.\u00a0\u00a0This is their habitat.\u00a0\u00a0This is the place they made, and they don’t want any changes, other than more money coming in.\u00a0\u00a0Like everyone else, they have “interests.”<\/p>\n

Bad people exist, and in some places, they are\u00a0all bad people.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A smart mayor would send in the cops and maybe the bulldozers with no warning.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not Breed.<\/p>\n

She was last seen insisting that “this is a safe city<\/a>,” kid you not.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She just learned the hard way it’s not, but don’t expect her to make that\u00a0connection.<\/p>\n

What this\u00a0shows is how remarkably na\u00efve Breed is about the problems plaguing her city, even just blocks from San Francisco’s City Hall.<\/p>\n

Don’t count on any of her proposed\u00a0“solutions” to make\u00a0so much as a dent in that city’s\u00a0problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
