An arts and culture center in Minneapolis has received backlash after it promoted an event encouraging families to attend a \u201cceremony to summon and befriend\u201d a demon of their choosing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alpha News<\/a>\u00a0reports that the Walker Art Center held a pagan ritual geared toward families last weekend, with a performance called \u201cLilit the Empathic Demon.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event description on the organisations website reads \u201cDemons have a bad reputation, but maybe we\u2019re just not very good at getting to know them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event featured an \u2018artist\u2019 called Tamar Ettun who claims to create \u201cdemon traps.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFamilies are invited to create a vessel to trap the demon that knows them best \u2014 perhaps the \u2018demon of overthinking\u2019 \u2014 and then participate in a playful ceremony to summon and befriend their demon,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>the description further reads.<\/p>\n

The report notes that the Art Center \u201creceived\u00a0millions of dollars<\/a>\u00a0in taxpayer funds through Minnesota\u2019s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, which\u00a0routinely funds<\/a>\u00a0projects with a left-wing agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n
