The nearest help is far away, our units are far away, and the weather can be very unfavorable,&#8221; the Danish military&#8217;s Joint Arctic Command (JAC), Commander Brian Jensen, said in a statement to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/europe\/cruise-ship-carrying-206-people-runs-aground-remote-part-greenland-2023-09-12\/\">Reuters<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/vessel_2.jpg?itok=0j1Afxh4\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg data shows Ocean Explorer is stuck in Alpefjord, about 870 miles northeast of Greenland&#8217;s capital, Nuuk. The vessel made several stops on Greenland&#8217;s coast before getting stuck. It departed from Sweden last Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/Snag_17ddb8d.png?itok=SNnsF5lX\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jensen explained that the vessel is located in &#8220;the national park, northeastern Greenland, where there&#8217;s no population. Luckily, it&#8217;s calm, and we have time on our side as there&#8217;s no imminent threat of a storm.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/F545BOKW4AIFGSJ.jpg?itok=RqTadP0w\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A military flight over the Ocean Explorer confirmed that its hull appears intact and no oil has escaped.
