New J6 Footage Shows Ray Epps Whispering To ‘Baked Alaska’: “We’re Here To Storm The Capitol”<\/span><\/p>\n

Anew report provides fresh evidence that infamous January 6 provocateur Ray Epps may have been an FBI plant.<\/p>\n

In the first of a two-part series, \u201cTruth in Media\u201d host Lara Logan spoke with Anthime Gionet, also known as \u201cBaked Alaska,\u201d a right-wing influencer formerly associated with the \u201calt right.\u201d Video footage from January 5, 2021 and earlier indicate that Epps appeared to be particularly interested in Gionet, who was later\u00a0sentenced<\/a>\u00a0to two months in prison for his participation in the riot at the US Capitol.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Gionet (Baked Alaska) was one of several people who filmed Epps on the evening of January 5, 2021 outside BLM Plaza as he told Trump supporters \u201cwe need to go into the Capitol!\u201d\u00a0<\/strong> At first, Gionet said he was amused by Epps\u2019 exhortation to breach the Capitol, and yelled \u2018let\u2019s go!\u2019 in response, but after he saw him repeat the line several times to different groups that night, he became convinced the \u201cboomer\u201d was an FBI plant and was up to no good.<\/p>\n

Gionet is the one who started the \u201cFed! Fed! Fed!\u201d chant that went viral on social media.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m someone who creates funny content so I just like to agree with everyone and if someone\u2019s saying something crazy, a lot of times, I\u2019ll just agree\u2014say yeah, yeah,\u201d Gionet said, explaining that he does it to encourage a subject\u00a0 to keep talking.<\/em><\/p>\n

But the activist said he felt \u201cweirded out\u201d by Epps and quickly moved on to another group.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m like, I\u2019m getting away from this creep, he\u2019s weirding me out,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Gionet said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m getting weird vibes\u2014something\u2019s off.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Gionet told Logan that everyone else who heard Epps talking about going into the Capitol were also taken aback.<\/p>\n

\u201cI go to another group way far away from him, he follows me, and that\u2019s when he begins instructing the crowd,\u201d Gionet said. That\u2019s when Epps was caught on tape again saying \u201cwe need to go into the Capitol.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cRight when he said that, something clicked in my head,\u201d Gionet said. <\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was like, whoa! This is scripted because he said the same exact line word for word three times and that\u2019s not natural.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Gionet said that it seemed very odd that he kept going around to all the different little groups and instructing them on what to do on January 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe the first time, he\u2019s being silly or saying something crazy, but when he said it the third time word for word, I knew there\u2019s a strong possibility this guy\u2019s a fed. I started that chant, and guess what? The whole crowd joined in with me\u2014within seconds!\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Gionet told Logan that that viral moment felt spiritual to him at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was the spirit moving. That was God saying \u2018somethings up here. Watch out, there\u2019s something going on.\u2019 And that\u2019s what I felt in my heart as a believer, truly,\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n

Shortly before midnight, Epps took a conciliatory tone with Gionet, telling him they he also despises Black Lives Matter and antifa.<\/p>\n

\u201cI stood \u2019em down myself with three Army vets in Queen Creek, Arizona,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Epps said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s where I live!\u201d Gionet exclaimed. \u201cAre you my neighbor?!\u201d<\/p>\n

After more friendly banter, Epps said \u201dwe\u2019re not here to fight man. He then leaned in and whispered \u201cwe\u2019re here to storm the Capitol,\u201d <\/strong>and added: \u201cI\u2019m not kidding.\u201d<\/p>\n

Logan noted that Epps\u2019 words echoed the official narrative the next day\u2014that Trump supporters \u201cstormed the Capitol\u201d before \u201cit was broadcast across the nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gionet, aka Baked Alaska, said that because he had been banned from every social media platform, it was virtually impossible for him to tell his story, and so for the first year after J6, nobody heard a word about Epps.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it was a big story but I was banned off Twitter, I was banned off YouTube, I was banned off all social media so I couldn\u2019t get the story out,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>he explained.<\/p>\n

He acknowledged that he had no proof that Epps was a \u201cfed,\u201d but remains convinced that he was.<\/p>\n

Former Washington DC FBI Field Office chief Steven D\u2019Antuono has acknowledged in sworn testimony that the Bureau had so many informants on the ground on January 6 that they lost track and had to order an audit to account for all of them.<\/p>\n

Federal prosecutors\u00a0\u00a0finally<\/a>\u00a0filed a criminal charge against\u00a0 Epps in September.<\/p>\n

The former Marine and Oath Keepers member was charged with\u00a0a single misdemeanor count<\/a>\u00a0of disruptive or disorderly conduct in a restricted area in U.S. District Court in Washington in September, despite his lead role in orchestrating chaos on that day. The charge carries a maximum punishment of a year in prison.<\/p>\n

In part two of Truth in Media\u2019s report on Ray Epps, Logan interviewed a friend of Epps.\u00a0The woman said that \u201csomething happened after he left the Oath Keepers until January 6. What, I don\u2019t know but those are two different people.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Part two, which will air next week,\u00a0 also features a video clip of Epps photographing Gionet without his knowledge during a Trump rally in Phoenix.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
