Donald Trump could be considering asking Tucker Carlson to be his running mate, according to a report that claims a source close to the former President says his wife is pushing for it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Axios claims<\/a> that the ousted Fox News presenter, currently getting unprecedented traction with his show on X is a frontrunner for Trump on the 2024 ticket.<\/p>\n

The source cited in the article claims that Melania Trump believes Carlson would be \u201ca powerful onstage extension of her husband.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just last month Trump\u2019s asked about potentially teaming up with Tucker, to which he responded \u201cI like Tucker a lot.<\/strong> I guess I would. I think I\u2019d say I would because he\u2019s got great common sense.<\/strong> You know when they say that \u2018you guys are conservative\u2019 or \u2018I\u2019m conservative.\u2019 It\u2019s not that we\u2019re conservative. We have common sense. We want to have safe borders. We want to have a wall because walls work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carlson himself stated recently that he \u201cbecame a Trump supporter\u201d after the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago last summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat just can\u2019t stand,\u201d Carlson stated, adding \u201cI agree with Trump on a lot, but even if I disagreed with Trump on a lot, I\u2019d still be a Trump supporter because you cannot allow the regime, the President of the United States, to use the Justice Department to knock the frontrunner out of the race.<\/strong> You can\u2019t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cIt\u2019s a question of, you know, do you want to live in a free country with a functioning justice system? So, I\u2019m voting for Trump. And if they convict him, I will send him the max donations and I will lead protests.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Carlson just dropped a lengthy interview with Alex Jones, which has prompted Elon Musk to state he will \u201chear him out\u201d and decide on whether Jones should be reinstated on X.<\/p>\n
