Scottish Parents Who Refuse To Let Their Kids Go Trans Could Face 7 Years In Prison<\/span><\/p>\n

Parents who refuse to accept their children identifying as transgender could face seven years in jail under a new law in Scotland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cProposals published on Tuesday state that actions designed to \u201cchange or suppress\u201d another individual\u2019s gender identity, causing them physical or psychological harm, would become illegal under the radical law,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>reports the Telegraph.<\/p>\n

The law would ban so-called \u2018conversion practices\u2019 which often take place in a \u201cfamily setting,\u201d according to ministers.<\/p>\n

It would mean that if parents try to stop their child \u201cdressing in a way that reflects their sexual orientation or gender identity,\u201d they could face criminal sanctions <\/strong>even if they believe they are acting in the child\u2019s best interests.<\/p>\n

Actions deemed to be \u201ccoercive\u201d or \u201ccontrolling\u201d in attempting to stop the child wanting to go trans would be illegal even if performed with \u201ca desire to help or protect the person.\u201d<\/p>\n

People in Scotland who question radical transgender activism are routinely targeted by the authorities.<\/p>\n

A 50-year-old mother was\u00a0charged<\/a>\u00a0with a \u2018transphobic hate crime\u2019 and faces up to two years in prison after she retweeted an image of a suffragette ribbon.<\/p>\n

Men who commit vile sexual attacks on women and children and then identify as women to avoid male prisons are also\u00a0protected<\/a>\u00a0by the state.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last year, former Scottish leader Nicola Sturgeon\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0transgender criminals convicted for raping women are women, despite them being biological men.<\/p>\n

In the same month, the Scottish government\u00a0refused<\/a>\u00a0to remove a transgender rapist from a female prison despite his conviction for raping two women when he was a biological male.<\/p>\n
