Apple Offers Ultra-Rare iPhone 15 Discount In China Amid Sliding Demand Fears<\/span><\/p>\n

Apple quietly introduced a rare discount on its latest iPhones in China, cutting prices as much as 500 yuan ($70) amid sagging demand and increasing competitive pressure in the world’s top smartphone market.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg\u00a0reports<\/a>\u00a0that a time-limited promotion will be offered on Apple’s official Chinese\u00a0website<\/a>\u00a0from Thursday to Sunday before the Lunar New Year holiday season. This is the first time in years Apple has slashed prices of the latest iPhones.<\/p>\n

Appel’s website says, “Discounts this year encompass everything from the iPhone 13 to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Discounts are being offered on Macbooks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

And iPads, Watches, and AirPods.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

The rare discount comes as analysts from\u00a0Piper Sandler<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Barclays<\/a>\u00a0downgraded Apple in recent weeks due to slumping iPhone demand.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was just last week when Jeffries analyst Edison Lee told clients that iPhone sales in\u00a0China plunged 30%<\/a>\u00a0in the first week of 2024 compared to the same week last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lee showed that Chinese shopping platforms like Suning and WeChat offered discounts on the latest iPhones.\u00a0<\/p>\n

iPhone discounts have soared.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We suspect the made-in-China Mate 60 Pro, which defied Western tech sanctions and has a\u00a0top-of-the-line processor<\/a>, has spurred patriotic fervor among Mainland consumers for domestic handsets. Also, companies and government agencies<\/a> have told staffers to abandon Apple devices.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
