Run-CMC: David Tepper’s Worst Trade?<\/span><\/p>\n

The 49ers\u2019 running back, Christian McCaffrey, aka CMC, was instrumental in leading his team to Super Bowl LVIII, which will be played on February 11th in Las Vegas.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

CMC came to the Niners in a trade for draft picks in October 2022 from the Carolina Panthers, owned by hedge fund great David Tepper.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

We are big fans of Tepper <\/strong>and have posted several pieces about him on GMM, including what he calls\u00a0his worst trade ever<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 buying Russian local currency T-Bills (or GKOs) in the late \u201990\u2019s.\u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0<\/p>\n

Maybe he\u2019s rethinking that… letting CMC go may be his worst.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

McCaffrey, often referred to as the NFL\u2019s best non-QB player and star is the real deal, folks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Stanford boy, runner up for the Heisman, and now going to the Super Bowl; and then to\u2026wait for it\u2026 Disneyland.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Whatever the case, Super Bowl ticket prices are stratospheric.\u00a0 No inflation here.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Can\u2019t wait for the prop bet on how many times Taylor Swift will be shown on camera.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eerily, the last time the Chiefs and 49ers met in the Super Bowl was February 2020,\u00a0 just a few weeks before COVID broke out in the United States.\u00a0 Yikes!<\/p>\n
