These Are America’s Best Places To Work In 2024<\/span><\/p>\n

Research is divided on when is the best time to look for a new job, but it\u2019s undeniable that a new year tends to hasten psychological effects: new beginnings, fresh clarity, and a renewed purpose. So for those on the lookout, it\u2019s also useful to know which companies are the best places to work in the country\u2014as rated by their employees.<\/p>\n

Based on data gathered by recruiting website\u00a0Glassdoor<\/a>, Visual Capitalist’s Niccolo Conte shows in the graphic below<\/a>, America\u2019s top 15 best places to work in 2024.<\/p>\n

Glassdoor\u2019s results are determined by their \u2018proprietary algorithm\u2019 which converts workplace reviews (rating companies on nine attributes like compensation, benefits, culture, etc.) from current and former employees, into a ranking. Ranked: America\u2019s Best Places to Work in 2024<\/h2>\n

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, consulting firm\u00a0Bain & Company<\/strong>\u00a0is the best place to work in 2024 according to their employees on Glassdoor. The\u00a0company\u2019s page<\/a>\u00a0specifies what makes them so good: benefits, reliable teammates, growth opportunities, and crucially, strong leadership.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s America\u2019s top 15 best places to work in in 2024.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Chipmaker\u00a0Nvidia<\/strong>, whose stock has been on a tear in the last year, ranks second. Reviews cite work flexibility, workplace culture, and of course, focused leadership. In fact, Jensen Huang was recently rated\u00a0America\u2019s most popular CEO<\/a>\u00a0by professional social networking site Blind.<\/p>\n

Three mid-sized tech companies,\u00a0ServiceNow<\/strong>\u00a0(cloud computing),\u00a0MathWorks<\/strong>\u00a0(mathematical computing software), and\u00a0Procore Technologies<\/strong>\u00a0(construction management software), round out the top five best workplaces in America.<\/p>\n

Ranked in sixth is a break from the norm so far: beloved fast food place,\u00a0In-N-Out Burger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Missing from 2024\u2019s list is\u00a0Google\u00a0which has dropped to 26th\u00a0from eighth place<\/a>\u00a0in 2023.<\/strong> By doing so: no Big Tech company features in the top 15 best places to work for the first time in five years.<\/p>\n

In fact, Big Tech does surprisingly poorly on these rankings despite the\u00a0record profit and revenue<\/a>\u00a0they pull in every year.<\/p>\n

Tech & Consulting Losing Sheen<\/h2>\n

Apple<\/strong>\u00a0for example has never been ranked higher than 31\u2014which they achieved back in 2021.<\/p>\n

Microsoft<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Meta<\/strong>\u00a0have done better in the past, but together with Google have slid down Glassdoor\u2019s rankings rapidly, in conjunction with the\u00a0recurring mass layoffs<\/a>\u00a0they\u2019ve executed in the last two years.<\/p>\n

And while Bain & Co head this year\u2019s list, other major players in the same space\u2014Boston Consulting Group<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0McKinsey & Company<\/strong>\u2014are now at their worst ranks since 2019.<\/p>\n

Smaller consulting firms have been struggling in the last year or so, as higher interest rates have hit everything from technology companies, to banks, to real estate conglomerates\u2014all usual clients for consulting companies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
