US Homeownership Grows More Diverse<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p>Despite endless exclamations about how America is systemically racist (and evil, and capitalist, and on and on&#8230;), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/31798\/homeownership-rates-in-the-us-by-race\/\">Statista&#8217;s Katharina Buchholz reports<\/a> that\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/research-and-statistics\/research-reports\/snapshot-of-race-and-home-buying-in-america\">data released yesterday by the National Association of Realtors<\/a>\u00a0in the U.S. shows how<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/topics\/1618\/residential-housing-in-the-us\/\">homeowners<\/a>\u00a0in the country are growing more diverse.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/31798\/homeownership-rates-in-the-us-by-race\/\" title=\"Infographic: U.S. Homeownership Grows More Diverse | Statista\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>You will find more infographics at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chartoftheday\/\">Statista<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The rate of homeownership among Asians and Hispanics in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/topics\/760\/united-states\/\">U.S.<\/a>\u00a0grew most in terms of percentage points<\/strong> &#8211; by 6.1 and 5.4 between the years of 2012 and 2022, reaching rates of 63.3 percent and 51.1 percent, respectively. <strong>White homeownership grew by 3.1 percentage points<\/strong> to 72.3 percent.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/bho-social.jpg?itok=ZYCQKgnu\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Despite Black homeownership remaining the lowest at a rate of just 44.1 percent and an increase of 1.6 percentage points, <strong>the absolute increase in Black homeowners was actually bigger than that of white homeowners over the 10-year period<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>While the country added 950,000 new Black homeowners, it only saw an increase of 65,000 new white homeowners.<\/p>\n<p>The Association of Realtors said this was <strong>due to the relative and absolute decrease in the country&#8217;s white population.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>      <span class=\"field field--name-uid field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden\"><a title=\"View user profile.\" href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/users\/tyler-durden\" class=\"username\">Tyler Durden<\/a><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"field field--name-created field--type-created field--label-hidden\">Fri, 02\/23\/2024 &#8211; 16:30<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/personal-finance\/systemically-racist-us-homeownership-grows-more-diverse\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"feedzy-rss-link-icon\" rel=\"noopener\">Read More<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Systemically Racist?
