In response to a debate about Muslim \u2018no-go areas\u2019 in the UK, a Labour MP said there were \u201cmillions of white men\u201d who \u201cbeat or murdered women this week\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tory MP Paul Scully is being attacked by the media and political class for saying there are \u2018no-go\u2019 areas in parts of Birmingham and London with large Muslim populations.<\/p>\n

When another user cited a case in Newcastle of a Muslim man who spat in a baby\u2019s face and shouted, \u201cwhite people shouldn\u2019t breed,\u201d Phillips chimed in again.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis man is horrific, just like the millions of white men I could post about who beat or murdered women this week, but I\u2019m not stupid enough to blame all white men for that, are you?\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

Since the entire argument was predicated around crime in the UK, Phillips appears to be suggesting that every week in the UK \u201cmillions\u201d of white men beat or murder women, a claim suffice to say that isn\u2019t backed up by any evidence.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0The Crime Survey for England and Wales<\/a>, 1.4 million women per year experience domestic abuse, which equates to about 27,000 a week, and you can then lower that number significantly when you remove non-white abusers, women who beat other women, and abuse that isn\u2019t physical.<\/p>\n

Respondents on x had a field day.<\/p>\n

On the wider debate over whether there were Muslim \u2018no-go areas\u2019 in Birmingham, the Birmingham Mail itself admits that the area has \u201cno go areas\u201d where residents do not feel safe due to rampant crime.<\/p>\n
