Missiles For Ukraine? Bizarre German War Propaganda On Kids’ Channel Features Talking Weapons<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, there is a fierce debate raging in Germany about whether the country should supply long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, with the national children\u2019s channel KIKA now wading into the debate in a clip that is being slammed by critics.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

KIKA, which is run by public media giants ARD and ZDF, both funded by German taxpayers, ran a segment entitled \u201cNo TAURUS for Ukraine\u201d featured on the children\u2019s news program \u201cLogo!\u201d<\/p>\n

The segment chides Chancellor Olaf Scholz for not sending Taurus missiles to Ukraine while using crude language in the 54-second clip.<\/p>\n

In one scene, the Taurus missile is speaking, saying: \u201cWe need to give Olaf Scholz a real run for his money with cruise missiles\u2026\u00a0He refuses to extradite me to Ukraine.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Taurus addresses other missiles in the clip, including the Storm Shadow from Great Britain and the SCALP from France. When the Taurus complains that he is not being sent to Ukraine, the Leopard tank chimes in, saying it was the same story with him. Scholz notably denied Germany would send the tanks to Russia before later agreeing to, with the main battle tanks now routinely seen on the battlefield.<\/p>\n

\u201cHuh, screw you, the Ukrainians will get me,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>says the SCALP to the Taurus, at which point the Taurus answers:\u00a0\u201cNo wonder they want me.\u00a0I\u2019m clearly the better cruise missile!\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The SCALP answers: \u201cLet me guess, you are not allowed to go to Ukraine because your chancellor is hesitating and hesitating again?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Storm Shadow also refers to the Taurus as an \u201cass missile,\u201d as the missiles bicker throughout the video.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The bizarre piece of propaganda, which appears to target Scholz for his hesitancy to send long-range missiles to Ukraine, received sharp criticism from users on Youtube.<\/p>\n

One user stated: \u201cThe editor responsible for this should be fired immediately.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Another user said she used to work for Germany\u2019s public media and was shocked by the video.<\/p>\n

\u201cIncomprehensible! I once wrote scripts for the children\u2019s channel, for \u201cBernd, das Brot.\u201d At that time, the editor deleted the word \u201cdead\u201d in my script, which rhymed wonderfully with \u201cbread\u201d but wasn\u2019t intended to scare the children. Today, there are advertisements for weapons in the same network,\u201d she wrote in a popular comment.<\/em><\/p>\n

Another user wrote: \u201cI can\u2019t believe I\u2019m forced to pay for these people to make cartoons about weapons of mass destruction, lol.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

All Germans are forced to pay for ZDF and ARD public media, which receives hundreds of millions in fees every year.<\/p>\n

Logo! responded in the comments section of the video, writing:<\/strong><\/p>\n
