Biden Campaign (Again) Claims Trump “Has Praised The Third Reich”<\/span><\/p>\n

Biden campaign senior adviser Adrienne Elrod claimed Monday that Donald Trump has \u201cpraised the Third Reich\u201d and intends to rule as a racist dictator.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

During an interview with CNN, Elrod was asked to comment on Republicans who \u201cworship\u201d Trump, and responded \u201cI think that rhetoric speaks for itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDonald Trump and his MAGA allies are focused on seeking revenge and retribution,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Elrod asserted, adding \u201cThey are running a negative campaign that is not focused on the American people, but is focused on themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cTrump has made it very clear that if he steps back into that White House, he will rule as a dictator on day one.<\/strong> He will seek \u2014 he will use the White House to seek political revenge and retribution on his political enemies.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Trump actually\u00a0said he won\u2019t do that<\/a>, but it doesn\u2019t fit the Biden campaign\u2019s narrative.<\/p>\n

While she was at it, Elrod painted up Trump as an admirer of Hitler.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, he has said things that \u2014 you know, he\u2019s praised the Third Reich. He has used, you know, racist rhetoric at every chance that he has,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>she claimed.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Praised the Third Reich? Presumably she is referring to this\u2026<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The desperation among the Biden campaign is palpable. His approval rating just hit a new all-time low of 37.4 percent.<\/p>\n

FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver noted that the downward trend for Biden means that dropping out of the race is worth discussing, even though it \u201cwould be a big risk\u201d for the Democrats.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut there\u2019s some threshold below which continuing to run is a bigger risk,\u201d Silver commented, adding \u201cAre we there yet? I don\u2019t know. But it\u2019s more than fair to ask.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIf I\u2019d told you 10 years ago a president would seek re-election at 81 despite a supermajority of Americans having concerns about his age, and then we\u2019d hit 8% inflation for 2 years, you wouldn\u2019t be surprised he was an underdog for reelection. You\u2019d be surprised it was even close!\u201d Silver further wrote.<\/p>\n

What’s clearer IMO is that Democrats would have been better served if Biden had decided a year ago not to seek a second term, which would have allowed them to have some semblance of a primary process and give voters a say among the many popular Democrats across the country.<\/p>\n
