‘Grand Tour’ Presenter Stands Ground After Calling Rows Of Pride Flags “Oppressive”<\/span><\/p>\n

British TV presenter James May, most famous for being a part of motoring shows The Grand Tour and Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson, is under fire for pointing out that the uniform rows and rows of Pride flags installed every year in central London look \u201coppressive.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

May made what was supposed to be a tongue in cheek comment on X, noting that while he has \u201cobserved and admired\u201d the Pride movement for years, the recent displays are guilty of \u201cToo Much Bunting,\u201d which \u201cmay be seen as authoritarian, and therefore oppressive.\u201d<\/p>\n

May added, \u201cPlease remember that some terrible things, with which you would not wish to be allied, began with TMB. World War Two, for example. Nice flag, though.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Pride: while I have observed and admired what you have achieved over my lifetime, may I respectfully suggest that you are borderline guilty of Too Much Bunting (TMB). It may be seen as authoritarian, and therefore oppressive.<\/p>\n
