Machete-Wielding Ecuadorian Illegal Arrested After Brutal Rape Of 13-Year-Old Girl In NY<\/span><\/p>\n

An illegal migrant from Ecuador has been arrested by the NYPD following a broad daylight rape in which police say a man wielding a machete approached two 13-year-olds in a Queens park, a boy and a girl – tied them together by the wrists, and then raped the girl<\/strong>. He allegedly then stole their cell phones and ran off.<\/p>\n

Attached is a photo of the migrant who was arrested for sexual assault. His clothes are ripped, he is missing one of his shoes, and he is bruised up after residents subdued him and called 911. (Fox News)<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

According to Fox News<\/em>, police arrested the man on Monday evening in connection with the crime, after neighbors recognized him from a wanted poster – then held him down and called 911<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to Fox News<\/em>, he entered the US illegally in 2021 – the year President Joe Biden reversed former President Trump’s immigration reforms on day one of his presidency.<\/p>\n

The attack<\/a> happened Thursday at Kissena Park, about 3 miles from where the New York Mets play at Citi Field and near the site of the 1964 World’s Fair and the U.S. Open. The victim also went to school in the neighborhood.<\/em><\/p>\n

Police had been offering a $10,000 reward in the case after obtaining surveillance video showing the suspect on a bicycle.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Police found him after neighbors recognized him from the wanted poster, held him down and called 911<\/strong>, sources said. –Fox News<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

The incident occurred at the Kissena Corridor Park in Flushing Queens. Following the rape, the teens ran across the street and called 911<\/strong>. They were taken to a hospital in stable condition.<\/p>\n

“It was good police work,” said retired NYPD sergeant Joseph Giacalone, a professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. “They got the drawings out of the suspect and his tattoo<\/strong>, and then were able to secure the surveillance photo and \u2026 some help from the public – but that\u2019s how it\u2019s supposed to work.”<\/p>\n

The man, who has a tattoo of a horned animal with red eyes on his chest, has had several previous low-level offenses, including drinking in public and jumping subway fares.<\/p>\n
