How (And Why) Bird Flu Is About To Enter The “Mass Testing” Phase<\/span><\/p>\n

Hello everyone and welcome to the latest edition of Bird Flu Digest, formerly known as OffGuardian…<\/em><\/p>\n

The wall-to-wall coverage of Bird Flu is getting wallier-to-wallier with each passing week, to the point it\u2019s almost hard to keep up with the waves of hot takes and chilling insights.<\/strong> But if you\u2019re going to try, the best place to do it is right here, where I spend a good portion of my time reading very similar articles in very similar papers all about the danger of a pandemic they\u2019re about to pretend is happening.<\/em><\/p>\n

Not a dream of mine growing up, but life\u2019s like that.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Anyway\u2026bird flu.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In our last bird flu update, we pointed out that the \u201cbird flu death\u201d in Mexico was very likely no such thing, and that reporting it as such was right out of the Covid playbook.<\/p>\n

Since then the head of Mexico\u2019s Health Ministry has criticized the WHO for\u00a0calling it a bird flu death at all<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But the big bird flu news is that former head of the US CDC\u00a0Robert Redfield<\/a>\u00a0has gone hysterical,\u00a0telling NewsNation<\/a>:<\/p>\n

I really do think it\u2019s very likely that we will, at some time, it\u2019s not a question of if, it\u2019s more of a question of when we will have a bird flu pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n

This story was naturally picked up and spread everywhere, but Redfield is hardly alone in this hysterical panic-fueling nonsense.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last week,\u00a0The Conversation<\/a>\u00a0headlined:<\/p>\n

An ounce of prevention: Now is the time to take action on H5N1 avian flu, because the stakes are enormous<\/p>\n

USA Today<\/a>\u00a0echoes the tone:<\/p>\n

Concerns grow as \u2018gigantic\u2019 bird flu outbreak runs rampant in US dairy herds<\/p>\n

Apparently a new study has\u00a0found something scary<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Americans\u00a0\u201chave little to no pre-existing immunity to the H5N1 avian flu\u201d<\/em>. Frightening stuff.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just a few hours ago the Daily Mail reported on yet another doctor doling out yet\u00a0another dire warning<\/a>. This time Dr Rick Bright, who told PBS that:<\/p>\n

We\u2019re being blindfolded in this battle right now, and I\u2019m really concerned that the virus is winning the game and getting ahead of us.\u2019<\/p>\n

We\u2019re flying blind and the disease is getting ahead of us! It\u2019s\u00a0running rampant<\/em>\u00a0and the stakes are\u00a0enormous<\/em>!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even some channels that\u00a0supposedly know better<\/a>\u00a0are spreading the fear.<\/p>\n

CNN is frantic with worry \u2013\u00a0\u201cWe aren\u2019t doing enough about the risk of bird flu \u2013 but we can\u201d<\/a>.<\/strong> Popular Science is relatively calm, asking\u00a0\u201cCan we prevent a bird flu pandemic in humans?\u201d<\/a><\/em>, before reassuring us that we can\u2026as long as we all do as we\u2019re told.<\/p>\n

All of these stories talk about \u201cgathering data\u201d, \u201cflying blind\u201d, and the need for \u201cprevention\u201d. And all of that is really code for \u201ctesting\u201d. Almost every article talks up the need to increase testing \u2013 both of humans and animals.<\/p>\n

But anyone who\u2019s been paying attention since 2020 knows PCR tests don\u2019t gather data, they create data. They are machines for generating \u201ccases\u201d. Far from preventing a pandemic, they can be used to manufacture one.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are even early signs of mandating tests going forward, such as\u00a0this Politico article<\/a>\u00a0bemoaning the lack of farmers\u00a0voluntarily\u00a0<\/em>signing up for government surveillance programs:<\/p>\n

The federal response is largely focusing on voluntary efforts by farmers to help track and contain the outbreak. But many farms still have not signed up for USDA efforts to boost surveillance and testing for the virus.<\/p>\n

And the solution to this is more money:<\/p>\n

Although federal funds have been allocated, no farms have enrolled in voluntary on-site milk testing, according to the USDA. Fewer than a dozen farms have applied for separate financial aid in exchange for boosting biosecurity measures to help contain the virus.<\/p>\n

Paying farmers to test their animals is another recycled Covid strategy. It will generate cases, which will generate culling, which links us up with the other aspect of \u201cbird flu\u201d \u2013 not \u201cthe next pandemic\u201d but \u201cthe war on food\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the alleged disease allegedly spreads from\u00a0poultry farm to dairy farm<\/a>\u00a0more and more chickens are being culled and cows slaughtered. This is going to escalate even further soon, when governments start paying farmers to destroy their cattle.<\/p>\n

Again, from Politico:<\/p>\n

\u2026federal rulemaking is delaying the rollout of compensation for farmers who have lost or had to kill cows because of the disease.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Translation:<\/p>\n

They want to pay farmers to test their cows, then \u201cfinancially compensate\u201d them when they have to be destroyed. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

This is just like the UK\u2019s\u00a0\u201cEnvironmental Land Management\u201d schemes<\/a>\u00a0or the US\u00a0\u201cConservation Reserve Program\u201d<\/a>, both of which pay farmers\u00a0not<\/em>\u00a0to farm. The goal will be to make it more profitable for farmers to kill their cows than milk them.<\/p>\n

Incentivizing testing, rewarding positive results. That\u2019s how you make a pandemic out of nothing, and sabotage the food system in the process.<\/p>\n

But there\u2019s good news, after all the the EU is already procuring\u00a040 million doses<\/a>\u00a0of vaccines, just in case. And the Moderna\u00a0stock price keeps going up<\/a>\u00a0too. So there\u2019s that.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Honestly, it\u2019s like watching a movie where they signpost the \u201csurprise\u201d twist ending inside the first five minutes, and then you have to sit through two interminable hours of what the writers clearly consider to be subtle foreshadowing.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s getting to the point I just want them to do the bloody pandemic and get it over with.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
