The Radical Left Can’t Understand Why Normal People Are Angry…<\/span><\/p>\n

Hint: When the Venezuelans are fleeing, it means we\u2019re in trouble.<\/h2>\n

A few nights ago, I received a long email from an acquaintance I\u2019ve known for a very long time \u2013 twenty years or more. We\u2019ve never hung out in person \u2013 all our interactions were online. Hadn\u2019t heard from them in years.<\/p>\n

As I was about to turn in for the night, I noticed an email from him, the subject line was simply, \u201cLife\u201d.<\/p>\n

Over the years I have read a great deal of what you have written, but that became less of a habit in recent years.<\/em><\/p>\n

Trying to locate your email address, I ended up today on your X account. After all those early years of reading you as a positive writer about technology I was completely taken back by what you endorsed on X.<\/em><\/p>\n

It was so full of hate and anger.\u00a0Against the WEF<\/strong>,\u00a0against scientists working for government<\/strong>,\u00a0about people who worry about global warming<\/strong>,\u00a0regardless of who caused it, against Liberals and leftists and a whole bunch of name calling.<\/em><\/p>\n

By this point, I honestly thought this might be sarcasm, but as I kept reading, it became clearer that this was not the case:<\/p>\n

I do not for the life of me understand how a person in your position, intelligent, informed, successful, money in the bank, living in the best country in the world is so full of vitriol.\u00a0 The anger leaps off the page.<\/em><\/p>\n

You are not alone.\u00a0 In my working circle\u00a0I have a lawyer colleague who writes exactly like you<\/strong>.\u00a0 My cousin\u00a0who runs a successful insurance company uses exactly the same language.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s ponder this for a moment. What he\u2019s saying is that many high-functioning, thoughtful people, who hold professional positions or run successful businesses are all seemingly\u00a0sounding the same<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0they\u2019re all pissed.<\/em><\/p>\n

Has it occurred to this person to wonder\u00a0why\u00a0<\/em>this is the case?<\/p>\n

After ranting about the #FreedomConvoy and the \u201cJ6 Insurrection\u201d and extolling the benefits of the vaccine that saved his life (I\u2019m genuinely happy for him, at least it worked for\u00a0somebody),\u00a0<\/em>he poses the question:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat could be wrong with the people we elect to set the rules for our social contract reacting as quickly as they can with whatever measures experts advise.\u00a0 It may be too much, it may turn out to be wrong, it may have forced all of us to behave in a certain way to control the harm.\u00a0 Why does that produce such anger?\u00a0 What are you really mad about?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Before putting forth a carefully crafted hypothetical:<\/p>\n

The dam upstream from your town has just shown a crack and the engineers say it is under serious risk of failure. The army will move your village to high ground. If it turns out that the crack was repairable and the dam did not break, and your town was not wiped out with flooding water, should that become a heavy duty political ideological issue?<\/em><\/p>\n

Screw your hypothetical construct, how about this:<\/h2>\n

(Stop me if you\u2019ve heard this one before).<\/p>\n

A bunch of unaccountable technocrats were carrying out gain-of-function experiments on bat viruses and\u00a0were barred from continuing this line of research by the Obama administration<\/a>. Even the Department of Defense, whom they later pitched the project to,\u00a0rejected the program as too dangerous<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So instead of ceasing their work, they farmed out the research that Congress has forbidden and the military rejected,\u00a0to a\u00a0 Chinese lab in Wuhan via private contractors<\/a>, and then\u00a0they deleted emails and paper trails<\/a>\u00a0to cover their tracks.<\/p>\n

After a pathogen related to that work (a highly contagious one, because\u00a0they made it that way)<\/em>\u00a0leaked from said lab,\u00a0setting off a global pandemic that kills\u00a0<\/em>(by official tallies)\u00a0over four million people,\u00a0<\/em>they manufactured a peer reviewed paper<\/a>\u00a0that dismissed any idea of a lab leak as \u201cconspiracy theory\u201d.<\/p>\n

For the next\u00a0two years<\/em>\u00a0anybody who publicly observes that circumstantial evidence and detailed analysis of the virus itself are highly indicative of a lab leak\u00a0have their careers destroyed.<\/em>\u00a0People are kicked off social media for even talking about it.<\/p>\n

In fact, people are deplatformed and canceled for questioning\u00a0anything\u00a0<\/em>about this pandemic:<\/p>\n

That the lockdowns were pointless and destructive \u2013 causing untold harm to children, who were low-risk, that it led to an increase in depression, suicide, domestic violence and bankrupted innumerable small businesses while accomplishing\u00a0nothing.<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

That alternative pharmaceutical mitigation techniques like exercise, sunlight, vitamin D were dismissed as New Age Woo Woo \u2013 while any discourse or content relating to them were deplatformed by Big Tech<\/p>\n

That effective pharmaceutical interventions like Ivermectin\u00a0already existed\u00a0<\/em>but were subjected to\u00a0government sponsored gaslighting\u00a0<\/em>campaigns<\/a><\/p>\n

That\u2019s just the warm up \u2013 then the MRNA vaccines come out and the narrative goes into overdrive:<\/p>\n

The story starts as \u201c100% safe and effective: 96% immunity\u201d \u2013 these things are a magic bullet.<\/p>\n

Except after a few months, it looks like they don\u2019t confer immunity after all (it was time for the\u00a0CDC to change the definition of the word \u201cvaccine\u201d<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Not only\u00a0that \u2013\u00a0<\/em>turns out they\u00a0didn\u2019t prevent transmission\u00a0<\/em>anyway \u2013 vaccine mandates were pointless. It turned out later\u00a0they weren\u2019t even\u00a0tested\u00a0<\/em>for that<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And if that wasn\u2019t enough, after the smoke cleared (and the\u00a0pandemic was largely over anyway<\/a>), excess mortality rates accelerated globally, including instances of myocardis and strokes in\u00a0young children\u00a0<\/em>and middle aged people who were in the prime of their lives.<\/p>\n

For the next year, athletes and on-air personalities were dropping like flies on live TV \u2013 nothing to see here\u2026<\/p>\n

It definitely seemed more like a joke to me. However, what’s genuinely no laughing matter is journalists, like this reporter, collapsing live on air. Curiously, many of these segments often have sponsorship from big pharma<\/p>\n

Further, this new plateau of\u00a0\u201csuddenly and unexpected\u201d<\/a>\u00a0didn\u2019t coincide with the pandemic, \u2013 perhaps it was\u00a0climate change<\/a>?\u00a0Video games<\/a>? Nobody could know for sure (but it did match bang-on with the deployment of the vaccines).<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Odd that.<\/p>\n

In the meantime here in Canada anybody who was asking questions about all this, or objected to their civil rights being violated, who were being compelled to take these shots, were demonized\u00a0by our own Prime Minister<\/em>\u00a0as \u201cmisogynists\u201d, \u201cracists\u201d and \u201cfringe\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

(Then he, and many others \u2013 when the extent of their\u00a0wrongness\u00a0became undeniable, tried claiming \u201cnobody forced you\u201d or\u00a0they called for \u201camnesty\u201d<\/a>\u00a0for their behaviour).<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

When a popular revolt in the #FreedomConvoy erupted, whose\u00a0sole stated purpose was to end the vaccine mandates<\/a>\u00a0(despite the MSM agitprop to the contrary) \u00a0the Canadian government enacted martial law<\/a>, seized bank accounts of participants and contributors and violently suppressed the demonstrators.<\/p>\n

Later inquiries showed that practically no aspect of the Freedom Convoy reporting by the MSM were\u00a0neither accurate<\/a>\u00a0nor\u00a0truthful<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Everything I\u2019ve outlined above is now established as either circumstantially or documented fact.<\/p>\n

Remembering everything we witnessed from the government, from the bureaucrats and especially\u00a0the corporate media\u00a0<\/em>during the pandemic, we are now seeing the\u00a0same playbooks of ineptitude<\/em>,\u00a0deceit and authoritarianism<\/em>\u00a0being run on the citizenry worldwide in the form of a so-called \u201cclimate crisis\u201d.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

So\u2026<\/p>\n

What exactly are people angry about?<\/h2>\n

If the pandemic taught us anything, it was that:<\/p>\n

If you can\u2019t\u00a0question\u00a0<\/em>The Science, it isn\u2019t\u00a0science<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0mainstream media is your enemy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Our leaders are\u00a0corrupt, self-serving, hypocritical and incompetent<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Our institutions have been captured by ideologues who are\u00a0Marxist<\/a>,\u00a0misanthropic<\/a>\u00a0Malthusians<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And now the same playbook is about to be run in the name of \u201cclimate\u201d, \u201cinclusion\u201d, \u201cfairness\u201d and any other benevolent sounding rubric these authoritarians can dream up to brainwash the public that it\u2019s in their best interests to submit to technocratic serfdom.<\/p>\n

There is this one-sidedness to the entire ideology:<\/em><\/p>\n

What\u00a0you\u00a0<\/em>believe \u2013 especially if it doesn\u2019t conform with The Current Thing, is just a\u00a0belief \u2013\u00a0<\/em>landing somewhere on the spectrum between infantile superstition and far-right conspiracy theory.<\/p>\n

What\u00a0they<\/em>\u00a0believe\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is the truth\u00a0<\/em>(more accurately \u2013 what they\u00a0espouse<\/em>\u00a0is the truth, their actions often belie something different).<\/p>\n

While the crux of my grievances center around just wanting to be left alone,\u00a0leftists demand that\u00a0you\u00a0<\/em>conform to\u00a0their\u00a0<\/em>worldview, and then without a hint of irony or self-awareness proclaim:<\/p>\n

Sometimes I think that the world is divided in to two camps: Those who believe that we are on this tiny speck of dust in an amazing universe together,\u00a0and those who believe its all about them<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Yes \u2013 the universe\u00a0is\u00a0<\/em>an amazing marvel. And Canada is a wonderful country \u2013 for whom immigrants like my parents, my wife and my child have found safe haven and opportunity to prosper and thrive.<\/p>\n

And the reason the\u00a0successful productive citizens \u2013 immigrants and native born alike \u2013\u00a0<\/em>that make this country great\u00a0are so angry<\/em>\u00a0is because the place is being turned into a\u00a0socialist shithole<\/em>\u00a0by far-left lunatics who want to impose their own ideations of Neo-Marxist collectivism on everybody else.<\/p>\n

The Punch Line\u2026<\/h2>\n

The reality is that it is exclusively the left who believes they are immune or exempt from moral questions \u2013 that everything is fair game so long as it serves \u201cthe greater good\u201d\u00a0as they define it<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It is only the left who will demonize you, cancel you, and deplatform you for disagreeing with them.<\/p>\n

It is primarily the left who will deny you services and abrogate civility on the basis of your divergent beliefs.<\/p>\n

It is\u00a0exclusively\u00a0<\/em>the left who will try to ruin your life for something as innocuous as a tweet \u2013 and then with a straight face explain why some crime they\u2019ve just been caught red-handed at committing, is irrelevant, or lacks the proper context to have any consequences\u00a0for themselves.<\/em><\/p>\n

Even the rule of law must be set aside for them, if they\u2019re embroiled in a situation that\u00a0they feel\u00a0<\/em>is unjust.<\/p>\n

And for some inexplicable reason \u2013 people who\u00a0aren\u2019t\u00a0<\/em>far-left, woketard, cultural Marxists are palpably angry.<\/p>\n

Wonder why.<\/p>\n

After attacking my worldview, equating it with racism and basically calling me a far-right lunatic (not to mention asking me to participate in his planned act of criminality), the email concluded by imploring me to use\u00a0my<\/em>\u00a0voice to further\u00a0his\u00a0<\/em>cause and\u00a0his<\/em>\u00a0belief system:<\/p>\n

I had to write this email because\u00a0you are a leading voice and you will move minds<\/strong>. I hope that I might be able to encourage you to moderate the anger, to reduce the dealing with people by categories, to promote what is so great about where you and I live and to realize that as citizens of Canada, we are a very small minority in the world because we are citizens of a country where balance and fairness has a chance of surviving but only if we work on keeping it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Yes, he\u2019s right\u00a0 \u2013 except it is beyond his ability to grasp that people could be in complete agreement with this exact sentence, yet hold values that are diametrically opposed to his.<\/p>\n

I wrestled with whether to write this piece at all \u2013 I\u2019ve been trying to make it a point to be more positive in my articles. But the one thing I regret about the pandemic was that I don\u2019t think I was as vocal\u00a0as I should have been.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

While true that I did speak up,\u00a0against the lockdowns<\/a>, against\u00a0compulsory vaccinations<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 I pulled my punches and it\u2019s not my proudest moment.<\/p>\n

If I do have a voice that can move minds, then I also have to bear the responsibility for using it:<\/p>\n

In July 2021 I\u00a0wrote about my own vaccine hesitancy<\/a>\u00a0over\u00a0on AxisOfEasy<\/a>\u00a0and that after looking into it a bit decided it would probably be ok (while still being on record as being against the way we were all more or less being\u00a0forced\u00a0<\/em>to take it).<\/p>\n

I have also since come to regret it and it pains me that perhaps my voice did sway people to take the jab. My only consolation is that, I too, took two doses of the Pfizer shot: whatever the long-term fate awaits those who took this experimental vaccine, I face it with you (to that end, I have been taking Peter McCullough\u2019s\u00a0Spike Support supplement<\/a>\u00a0over a year now).<\/p>\n

So if possessing a voice that moves people comes with both responsibility\u00a0and<\/em>\u00a0the obligation to use it \u2013 here\u2019s what I have to say now:<\/p>\n

It is\u00a0OK\u00a0<\/em>to oppose the collectivist, radical-left agenda \u2013 in your workplace, in your school, among your neighbours and in your politics.
\n\tMy suspicion is that, ironically, there are\u00a0far more people opposed<\/em>\u00a0to this drift toward collectivism than than in favour of it. Those who were on the fence are coming down on the oppositional side.
\n\tCollectivism in all its forms \u2013 has never worked,\u00a0it is a fraud<\/a>, perpetuated by oligarchs on the many that will always bring about misery and poverty,\u00a0and Canada is headed there.<\/em><\/p>\n

When the Venezuelan Refugees are Pulling Up Stakes, We\u2019re In Trouble<\/h2>\n

It is with great reluctance that I publish this, I actually had to pull it out of the trash folder.<\/p>\n

What changed my mind was a recent meeting I had with a Venezuelan who fled\u00a0to<\/em>\u00a0Canada in order to escape communism in his home country.<\/p>\n

As I\u00a0noted over on The Daily Bell<\/a>\u00a0(which we just acquired), this Venezuelan told me:<\/p>\n

In a progressive, collectivist society,\u00a0\u201cWhat gets incentivized is mediocrity\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

He is now in the process of\u00a0leaving Canada<\/em>\u00a0by June 24th<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the day the new capital gains and exit tax regime kicks in, to the delight of the pundits who see this as \u201cthe rich getting their due\u201d.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s moving his family to the Cayman Islands.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve seen this movie before\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

While Canada is still a long way off from being Venezuela \u2013 (the proles aren\u2019t eating the zoo animals, yet) \u2013 he told me\u00a0\u201call the pieces are in place\u201d.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We have federal ministers declaring themselves to be\u00a0\u201cproud socialists\u201d on the floor of the House of Commons<\/a>,\u00a0while federal departments\u00a0publish official reports<\/a>\u00a0equating capitalism with white supremacy and explicitly calling for collectivism.<\/p>\n

My friend, Dr. Kristian Niemtiez once wrote a book\u00a0\u201cSocialism: The Failed Idea Never Dies\u201d<\/a>, unfortunately it seems the fate of civilizations to not learn that lesson without trying it for themselves.<\/p>\n

I would advise reading Eugen Richter\u2019s\u00a0\u201cPictures of a Socialistic Future\u201d<\/a>, from 1883, which posited a fictional slide of Germany into communism: from the initial euphoric, highs to the inevitable despair and poverty socialism brings. The choice is basically: get angry now and put a stop to this, or get out of dodge later.<\/p>\n
