Meanwhile, JustTheNews reports <\/a>that Hunt’s “colleague” who must be “respected” – Jake Tapper – is at the center of a defamation suit brought by a consulting company which alleges that the network and one of its reporters lied about the company\u2019s work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The network\u2019s defense: CNN did not intend to harm and its language was \u201copinion or ambiguous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trust in CNN has become one of the most polarizing datapoints when comparing the opinions of Democrats and Republicans, with a 96-point disparity in trust for \u201cThe Most Trusted Name in News,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0according to a May 2024 YouGov poll<\/a>. Americans\u2019 overall trust in media has also declined, cratering to an all-time low last year, according to an October 2023 Gallup poll.<\/p>\n
