{"id":1475705,"date":"2024-07-06T23:50:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-07T03:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bugaluu.com\/news\/?p=1475705"},"modified":"2024-07-06T23:50:00","modified_gmt":"2024-07-07T03:50:00","slug":"the-lefts-biden-cover-up-explains-perfectly-why-project-2025-is-needed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bugaluu.com\/news\/the-lefts-biden-cover-up-explains-perfectly-why-project-2025-is-needed\/1475705\/","title":{"rendered":"The Left\u2019s Biden Cover-Up Explains Perfectly Why Project 2025 Is Needed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden\">The Left\u2019s Biden Cover-Up Explains Perfectly Why Project 2025 Is Needed<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/sellers-biden-cover-up-project-2025\/\">Authored by Ben Sellers via Headline USA<\/a>,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/inline-images\/20230421_082243-e1720277405432_80.jpg?itok=9OQsF9WH\"><em>Ken Cuccinelli, former Trump Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security , speaks at a media breakfast during the Heritage Foundation&#8217;s 2023 leadership summit. \/ PHOTO: Ben Sellers, Headline USA<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The implosion of President Joe Biden\u2019s reelection campaign has been years in the making and <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/sellers-next-obama-term-look-like\/\">highly anticipated<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Really, the biggest surprise, if any, has been <strong>how long the Left was able to milk the absurd notion that their political placeholder was a viable candidate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As many have since noted, it speaks to the sheer toxicity that the corrupt conglomerate of corporations, information gatekeepers and partisan special-interests within the Beltway.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/dems-pull-off-surprise-win-debate\/\">debate scandal<\/a> and subsequent fallout effectively proved that <strong>not only has lying within the political Establishment become systemic, but it makes no difference if it is even a credible lie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is an almost <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/hillary-clinton-lies-worse-than-rape\/\">taunting quality<\/a> to putting forth something utterly implausible and challenging people to question it, knowing they lack the institutional power to hold the liars accountable.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>GOING OVERBOARD<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Most recognize that the current predicament is just another means to an ends\u2014out with the old and in with the new: a candidate who must be capable of running on short notice with the existing <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/michelle-obama-steal-2020-race\/\">funding sources and infrastructure<\/a> needed to offset Trump\u2019s advantage, and someone who both has the name recognition needed for a possible write-in campaign along with the perception of being a political outsider.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, <strong>it is somewhat satisfying to see <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.fo\/4DzKO\">the cockroaches scurrying<\/a> away when the light switch gets flipped.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Fools in this <a href=\"https:\/\/rsccmslive.azurewebsites.net\/shakespeare-learning-zone\/king-lear\/\">Learian tragedy<\/a> have been the leftist media and members of Biden\u2019s inner circle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/joe-biden\/tensions-biden-family-aides-spill-rcna160468\">feigning shock and ignorance<\/a> about the problem that everyone else has long been aware of.<\/p>\n<p>Although some continue to double down, most have now pivoted to an entirely new <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/sellers-10-crimes-dems-charged-enemies\/\">\u201cBig Lie\u201d<\/a> by pretending their sudden efforts to perform damage control will vindicate them.<\/p>\n<p>From their half-deflated lifeboats<strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/06\/30\/how-biden-debate-prep-led-to-damaging-event\/\">they point fingers<\/a> at the other Biden loyalists who are going down with the ship and insist that their prior complicity was a function of fear.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Those who have spent the past three-plus years interacting with the 81-year-old president have suddenly begun sharing their stories of red-flags that now seem clear in hindsight. But they insist that if they had waged a Trump-like <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/the-resistance\">Resistance<\/a> campaign to undermine him they would have faced severe consequences for it by becoming blacklisted rather than celebrated for their public service.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>A MAGA MAKEOVER?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Ironically, their face-saving efforts only help build the case for<strong> the <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/heritage-foundation\">Heritage Foundation\u2019s<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/project-2025\">Project 2025<\/a>, which has become a boogeyman for the so-called <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hashtag\/BlueMAGA\">Blue MAGA movement<\/a><\/strong> (a hashtag term coined by one group of leftists to attack those they see as conspiratorial and irrational).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The underlying objective of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/conservatism\/commentary\/project-2025\">Project 2025 <\/a>is to highlight key areas of reform needed within the corrupted deep state<\/strong> and to articulate a series of policy expert-endorsed proposals through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/mandate\">880-page <em>Mandate for Leadership<\/em><\/a> in order to prevent another sabotage effort without losing any time trying to fight the bureaucracy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new conservative movement that America needs is right here, right now in this room,\u201d Heritage President <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/kevin-roberts\">Kevin Roberts<\/a> said during the conservative think-tank\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/press\/heritage-leadership-summit-feature-5-senators-americas-most-pressing-issues\">2023 leadership summit<\/a> at Washington, D.C.\u2019s National Harbor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>No more bringing butter knives to gunfights\u2014we\u2019ve learned that,<\/strong>\u201d Roberts continued. \u201cThe old Washington red team of free marketers, neoconservatives and evangelicals is simply not enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In effect, it was intended to be an inward-looking movement to retrench the conservative movement and root out the <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/rinos\">RINOs<\/a>, learning from the mistakes of the first Trump administration.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>\u2018NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM\u2019<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Since then, unhinged and <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/trump-derangement-syndrome\">TDS-afflicted<\/a> conspiracy theorists have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/ruth-ben-ghiat-donald-trump-project-2025_n_668668cee4b0940ade432d0a\">pushed allegations<\/a> that Project 2025 is Trump\u2019s authoritarian dogwhistle in order to justify their own efforts to <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/soros-podesta-elias-bureaucrat-plan\/\">calcify the weaponized deep state<\/a> with measures that would make it more difficult for the next administration to fire <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/startup-list-editious-civil-servants\/\">disloyal civil servants<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The propagandist Associated Press even pushed the suggestion that it was a <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/conservative-leading-pro-trump-project-2025-suggests-new-111655303\">guidebook for \u201crevolution,\u201d<\/a> carping on some of Roberts\u2019s rhetoric to distort the context of his statements.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, as former President Donald Trump recently said in distancing himself from the initiative, it was never specifically coordinated with his campaign.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI know nothing about Project 2025,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/112734594514167050\">wrote<\/a>\u00a0on Truth Social on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they\u2019re saying and some of the things they\u2019re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once again, the truth will eventually get out.<\/p>\n<p>America, you\u2019ve been lied to again.<\/p>\n<p>Project 2025 was just a think tank paper.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t a Trump \u201cmaster plan\u201d to become a dictator.<\/p>\n<p>Just like we told you. Here\u2019s an idea: Stop listening to liars. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/S8Au8K0nfU\">pic.twitter.com\/S8Au8K0nfU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kyle Becker (@kylenabecker) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kylenabecker\/status\/1809268244433551584?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 5, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<h5><strong>\u2018CANDIDATE AGNOSTIC\u2019<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Having been present for the grand unveiling at the leadership summit\u2014which <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/desantis-draws-trump-reagan-pre-campaign\/\">featured a speech<\/a> by then-candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/ron-desantis\">Ron DeSantis<\/a> in its top billing (along with what would be <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/tucker-carlson\">Tucker Carlson\u2019s<\/a> last speech as a Fox News host), I can attest that the resurgence of Trump in such sweeping fashion was the last thing on the minds of many of the Heritage Foundation\u2019s policy writers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Indeed, it is more likely that many of them feared his candidacy might hold back the sort of grand reinvention of Republicanism that they envisaged.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When I asked, point blank, during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/heritage-foundation-launches-blueprint-for-the-next-conservative-president-5212448\">a media breakfast<\/a> with some of the\u00a0<em>Mandate<\/em>\u2018s lead editors what would happen if Trump won and proceeded to disregard all their painstakingly crafted proposals, they struggled to find a suitable answer, with some seeming to suggest in their aghast reactions that a Trump comeback seemed unfathomable at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, they were diplomatic at the time in their insistence that the initiative was intended to be for whoever might emerge as the favored Republican candidate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lead editor Paul Dans, the former chief of staff in Trump\u2019s Office of Personnel Management, said that the book sought to be \u201ccandidate agnostic\u201d and serve as a resource to any future leader, regardless of who prevailed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <em>Mandate<\/em> authors did \u201csuch a good job that you cant help but embrace [it],\u201d Dans said. \u201cYou kind of ignore this a little bit at your peril.\u201d<\/p>\n<h5><strong>A VISION OF HIS OWN<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>That Trump has his own plans, of course, should surprise few\u2014especially not the cadre of ex-staffers and advisers who contributed to the Heritage project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It was clear from the former president\u2019s recent disavowal that he took umbrage with the notion that anyone would prescribe to him a set of \u201cexpert\u201d policies to follow after his hard-fought climb back to White House contention.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moreover, it seems as if Project 2025 runs parallel, in many ways, to the efforts of his own, Trump-endorsed <a href=\"https:\/\/americafirstpolicy.com\/\">America First Policy Institute<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Trump assures his supporters that he has learned his own valuable lessons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been through it. I know the good people, I know the bad people. I know weak people and strong people,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/trump-north-carolina-convention\/\">said last year<\/a> at the North Carolina Republican Convention in Greensboro. \u201cI know the people that are losers that we don\u2019t want, I know the people that are winners that a lot of people don\u2019t know or understand.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, the presumptive GOP nominee\u2014whose current odds of becoming the next president are around 70% by some mainstream media estimations\u2014should not throw out the baby with the bathwater.<\/p>\n<p>If there was one weakness in Trump\u2019s prior presidential experience, it was his misjudgment of character and investment of trust in the wrong people based on their ability to flatter him to his face while undermining him behind his back.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, he should regard Project 2025 and its <em>Mandate for Leadership<\/em> as a valuable second opinion, a sort of grounding influence that he can use as the baseline for making his decisions.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>PROOF IS IN THE PROTEST<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Following Trump\u2019s comments dismissing Project 2025 as \u201cridiculous and abysmal\u201d one of those who came forward in an effort to ridicule him was former <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/republican-national-committee\">Republican National Committee<\/a> chair Michael Steele\u2014the epitome, if ever there were one, of a traitor to conservative values and ideals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hashtag\/Project2025?src=hashtag_click\">#Project2025<\/a> is designed to institutionalize Trumpism and you know nothing about it, then why do you echo some of its policy priorities during your rallies?\u201d said the former Maryland lietenant governor, whose own efforts to seek higher office failed miserably.<\/p>\n<p>Ok, let\u2019s all play with Stupid for minute\u2026so exactly how do you \u201cdisagree\u201d with something you \u201cknow nothing about\u201d or \u201chave no idea\u201d who is behind, saying or doing the thing you disagree with? Since <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Project2025?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Project2025<\/a> is designed to institutionalize Trumpism and you know nothing about\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/z3irzidWP6\">pic.twitter.com\/z3irzidWP6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Michael Steele (@MichaelSteele) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MichaelSteele\/status\/1809261195150365126?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 5, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If the same people in the permanent bureaucracy who spent the past several years laying cover for the dubious <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/2020-election\">2020 election<\/a>\u2014and the senile geriatric they installed into power as an empty-suit figurehead for the corrupt oligarchy\u2014are devoting this much energy to trying to distort the facts about Project 2025 and misrepresent its motives, then,\u00a0<em>ipso facto<\/em>, it is worth a second look.<\/p>\n<p>While Trump is justified in his apprehension about any and all unsolicited advice from D.C. think-tanks and career civil servants,<strong> the indications that so many Democrats (and disloyal right-wing denizens of the <a href=\"https:\/\/headlineusa.com\/tag\/swamp\">Swamp<\/a>) seem panicked about its proposals should be a telling indication itself that Project 2025 is hitting its mark.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Roberts noted at the Heritage leadership summit, \u201cThe Left started this culture war; we\u2019re gonna finish it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Ben Sellers is the editor of Headline USA.
