{"id":1477560,"date":"2024-07-15T16:45:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-15T20:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bugaluu.com\/news\/?p=1477560"},"modified":"2024-07-15T16:45:00","modified_gmt":"2024-07-15T20:45:00","slug":"10-burning-questions-that-every-american-should-be-asking-about-the-trump-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bugaluu.com\/news\/10-burning-questions-that-every-american-should-be-asking-about-the-trump-shooting\/1477560\/","title":{"rendered":"10 Burning Questions That Every American Should Be Asking About The Trump Shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden\">10 Burning Questions That Every American Should Be Asking About The Trump Shooting<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/endoftheamericandream.com\/10-burning-questions-that-every-american-should-be-asking-about-the-trump-shooting\/\"><em>Authored by Michael Snyder via The End of The American Dream blog,<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The people that guard our leaders are supposed to be the most highly trained security personnel in the world.\u00a0 So how could something like this have happened?\u00a0<\/strong> As I mentioned\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/7-things-we-know-about-the-man-that-shot-trump\/\">in a previous article<\/a>, I have been trying to put the pieces together.\u00a0 To me, it appears that we either just witnessed\u00a0incompetence on an epic scale or something more insidious was going on out there.\u00a0 The American people deserve answers, and hopefully we will get them.\u00a0 But I think that one thing is clear.\u00a0 I don\u2019t see any possible way that the head of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, can be allowed to keep her job.\u00a0 <strong>There is no way that this shooting would have happened the way that it did if competent people were running the show.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/Snip20240713_8.jpg?itok=0b9RWMa9\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have been digging into what many of the experts have been saying about this incident, and there is so much that just doesn\u2019t make sense.<\/p>\n<p>So I have compiled a list of 10 burning questions that every American should be asking about the Trump shooting\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>#1<\/strong>\u00a0How did the shooter get so close without being seen by the Secret Service?\u00a0 It is being reported that he was able to crawl on to a roof\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-13633445\/secret-service-steps-fail-prevent-donald-trump-rally-shooting.html\">that was just 130 yards away from Trump<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>How on earth did a gunman who was acting suspiciously crawl onto the roof of a building 130 yards away from where former president of the United States was speaking and manage to fire at least eight shots before he was taken down?<\/p>\n<p>That is just one of the damning and terrifying questions that are unanswered after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump that is being described as an enormous security failure.<\/p>\n<p>Terrifying new video from TMZ has captured the moment Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, lay down on the roof of a nearby building, in full view of horrified Trump supporters, and fired towards the stage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#2<\/strong>\u00a0Why weren\u2019t security personnel on that roof?\u00a0 Every roof that had a direct line of sight to Trump should have been covered, and a former SWAT commander is saying that what we just witnessed was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/rcna161746\">\u201ca fundamental security failure\u201d<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Steve Nottingham, a former SWAT commander in Long Beach, California, called Saturday\u2019s shooting \u201ca fundamental security failure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He has worked security details for visiting world leaders, including presidents, and now trains officers on how to respond to critical incidents. He pointed at likely breakdowns in the pre-event scouting and real-time monitoring of places a gunman could shoot from.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey were behind the curve, because they should have had those places covered ahead of time,\u201d Nottingham said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#3<\/strong>\u00a0Why didn\u2019t authorities respond when they were warned about a man with a gun?\u00a0 One witness says that he repeatedly tried to warn law enforcement about the shooter\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/news\/he-had-a-rifle-trump-rally-attendee-says-he-warned-police-gunman-was-crawling-on-roof\/\">but he was ignored<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>A man who was present at the Pennsylvania rally where former President Donald Trump was grazed by a bullet during a failed assassination attempt Saturday night said police ignored him when he told them there was a man with a rifle crawling on a rooftop moments before the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>In the immediate aftermath of the deadly shooting, a man wearing a red \u201cTrump 2024\u201d visor spoke to BBC News from the community of Butler and claimed he tried to warn law enforcement officers about imminent danger regarding the president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProbably five to seven minutes of Trump speaking\u2026 we noticed a guy crawling \u2013 bear crawling \u2013 up the roof of the building beside us, fifty feet away from us,\u201d the man said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#4<\/strong>\u00a0According to testimony from another eyewitness, the shooter actually had time to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/trump-rally-attendee-says-he-saw-alleged-shooter-on-rooftop-near-rally-site\/\">\u201cmove from roof to roof\u201d<\/a>\u00a0before he started shooting at Trump.\u00a0 If people in the crowd could see this movement, why couldn\u2019t the Secret Service?<\/p>\n<p>An attendee at former President Donald Trump\u2019s rally at the Butler County fairgrounds says he saw the alleged shooter on a nearby rooftop as Trump was delivering remarks to supporters Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Trump is safe after he was rushed offstage by Secret Service agents and whisked away to a secure location. Blood could be seen coming from his face after shots rang out. The shooter was fatally shot by a Secret Service sniper, law enforcement sources told CBS News.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Macer told KDKA-TV\u2019s Jennifer Borraso that he was up along the fence line and \u201csaw the guy move from roof to roof. [I] told an officer [the alleged shooter] was on the roof.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>#5<\/strong>\u00a0Once the shooting started, why did it take so long for the Secret Service to get to Trump?<\/p>\n<p>There should always be agents just a couple of steps from Trump at all times.<\/p>\n<p>But somehow Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to get off at least eight shots at Trump.<\/p>\n<p>As I watch\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XL3D0h5j0Lo\">video of the incident<\/a>\u00a0over and over, it seems like an eternity before Secret Service agents get there.<\/p>\n<p>After Trump is shot, there are several long seconds before a couple of agents finally get to Trump.<\/p>\n<p>If the shooter had better aim, Trump would not have survived.<\/p>\n<p>Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino is calling this entire episode a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/dbongino\/status\/1812308976303800832\">\u201ccatastrophic failure\u201d<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Actively communicating with a number of former colleagues from the Secret Service about the assassination attempt.<\/p>\n<p>This is an obviously catastrophic failure and NO excuses should be made, or even attempted.<\/p>\n<p>The failures are profound and questions must be answered about ground surveillance, air surveillance, post-stander support, and counter-sniper advance work and response.<\/p>\n<p>We have ONE job, and we came within inches of a deadly failure today. An uneventful failure is NOT a success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#6<\/strong>\u00a0Why was security so much better at previous Trump rallies?\u00a0 One man that was there when Trump was shot said that there was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/modernity.news\/2024\/07\/14\/eyewitness-security-at-trump-event-noticeably-lax-compared-to-previous-rally\/\">a \u201cnoticeable\u201d difference<\/a>\u00a0between security at this rally and security at a previous rally that he had attended\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Robert D. Philpot said he attended a Trump rally at the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport during the previous presidential campaign and immediately noted that the location had a lot of buildings similar to those from where the shooter took aim during yesterday\u2019s attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery rooftop of every hanger had three, four five guys on top,\u201d said Philpot, noting that armed Secret Service and law enforcement were everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst thing I did when I got here yesterday, was I did a complete look around at every rooftop and I said to myself that\u2019s strange, I don\u2019t see one cop, sniper, nothing, I don\u2019t see anything, and I just thought that was kind of weird,\u201d said Philpot.<\/p>\n<p>The eyewitness said it was \u201cso noticeable\u201d that the security was so lax for yesterday\u2019s event compared to the one he attended four years prior.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#7<\/strong>\u00a0U.S. Representative Mike Waltz claims that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas turned down requests for better Secret Service protection for Trump\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/mayorkas-denied-repeated-requests-for-more-secret-service-protection-for-trump-gop-lawmaker-says\/ar-BB1pWxxl\">on multiple occasions<\/a>.\u00a0 Why did he do this?\u2026<\/p>\n<p>A House Republican lawmaker is alleging that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas denied stronger Secret Service protection for former President Trump multiple times.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., made the accusation hours after Trump was grazed by a bullet at his Saturday Pennsylvania rally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have very reliable sources telling me there have been repeated requests for stronger secret service protection for President Trump. Denied by Secretary Mayorkas,\u201d Waltz wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#8<\/strong>\u00a0Did inflammatory rhetoric inspire the shooter to do what he did?\u00a0 As J.D. Vance has aptly observed, the Biden campaign has been labeling Trump as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JDVance1\/status\/1812280973628965109\">\u201can authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs\u201d<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Today is not just some isolated incident.<\/p>\n<p>The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs.<\/p>\n<p>That rhetoric led directly to President Trump\u2019s attempted assassination.<\/p>\n<p>And many have pointed out that less than a week ago Joe Biden stated that it was time to put a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2024\/07\/13\/report-biden-told-donors-it-was-time-to-put-trump-in-the-bullseye\/\">\u201cbullseye\u201d<\/a>\u00a0on Trump\u2026<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden reportedly told donors on a phone call on Monday that it was \u201ctime to put\u201d former President Donald Trump \u201cin the bullseye.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden told donors on a private call this afternoon: \u2018It\u2019s time to put Trump in the bullseye,\u2019\u201d Kenneth P. Vogel, a reporter with the New York Times, wrote in a post on Monday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#9<\/strong>\u00a0I think that the timing of this shooting was very interesting.<\/p>\n<p>If Trump was killed just before the convention, he would not be the Republican nominee.<\/p>\n<p>So who would have come out of the convention as the replacement nominee?<\/p>\n<p><strong>#10<\/strong>\u00a0How will this shooting affect the general election?<\/p>\n<p>When Ronald Reagan was shot, his poll numbers went up dramatically.\u00a0 Will the same thing happen\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/attempt-trump-life-changes-everything-021346890.html\">to Trump?<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The polls already suggest that Trump is likely to win back the presidency in November, after a torrid few months for his opponent and a criminal conviction that has had little impact on his popularity.<\/p>\n<p>If history tells us anything, the events of Saturday will only increase his support. In the months after Mr Reagan was shot, the newly-elected Republican president saw a poll boost of eight points.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll have to wait and see what happens to the poll numbers, but already Trump\u2019s odds of winning in the betting markets\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/donald-trumps-chances-winning-election-soar-after-shooting-1924917\">has been spiking<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, prior to the assassination attempt, Trump\u2019s odds of winning the 2024 presidential election were 8\/15 (65.2 percent) according to William Hill, a U.K. based betting company.
