There was an awkward but amusing moment when Stephen Colbert seriously stated that CNN was \u201cobjective\u201d and \u201cjust reports the news as it is,\u201d prompting his own audience to laugh hysterically at the notion when they weren\u2019t supposed to.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

The incident occurred during Colbert\u2019s interview with CNN\u2019s Kaitlan Collins, who has repeatedly betrayed her anti-Trump bias, including infamously during a town hall event she hosted with Trump last year.<\/p>\n

Collins claimed Trump was on the back foot because he didn\u2019t know how to \u201cgo after\u201d Kamala Harris due to her being a non-white woman.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s kind of been this moment where he has not been able to coalesce behind a single attack line,\u201d asserted Collins.<\/p>\n

A surprised Collins responded, \u201cWas that supposed to be a laugh line?\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t supposed to be but ah, I guess it is,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>said Colbert.<\/p>\n

Whoops.<\/p>\n

How revealing that Colbert\u2019s own virulently NPC audience even knows instinctively that claiming CNN is \u201cobjective\u201d is utterly hilarious.<\/p>\n
