Germany\u00a0Issues First Arrest Warrant In\u00a0Nord Stream Sabotage Investigation\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Nord Stream pipeline explosion was one the\u00a0largest acts of industrial sabotage in modern history.\u00a0Nearly two years later,\u00a0speculation continues to swirl about who was behind the attack.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Was it the CIA<\/strong>, as famed\u00a0journalist and\u00a0Pulitzer prize winner Seymour Hersh claimed<\/a>?\u00a0Did the Russians <\/strong>blow up their own undersea pipeline in the Baltic Sea?\u00a0Or was it a Ukrainian<\/strong> commando with a sailing yacht?\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

A new report surfaced on Wednesday, released by several German media outlets, including\u00a0ARD,\u00a0Sueddeutsche Zeitung, and\u00a0Die Zeit<\/a>. <\/em>It <\/em>details how German officials obtained an arrest warrant for a\u00a0Ukrainian citizen named ‘Volodymyr Z’ in June, who was living in Poland at the time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Polish National Public Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Anna Adamiak told Reuters that the arrest warrant was sent to\u00a0the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw in June.<\/p>\n

Volodymyr Z was a diver wanted in connection with the\u00a0Nord Stream explosion that rocked the NatGas pipeline, which stretches from Russia to Germany, in September 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Ultimately, Volodymyr Z. was not detained, because at the beginning of July he left Polish territory, crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border,”\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Adamiak said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She continued, “Free crossing of the Polish-Ukrainian border by the above-mentioned person was possible because German authorities… did not include him in the database of wanted persons, which meant that the Polish Border Guard had no knowledge and no grounds to detain Volodymyr Z.”<\/p>\n

UPDATE: Poland confirmed it had received a European arrest warrant from Germany for a suspect in the 2022 sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.<\/p>\n

In February,\u00a0Swedish and Danish authorities closed their\u00a0investigation into who was behind the pipeline sabotage.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In early 2023, months after the pipeline attack, journalist\u00a0Seymour Hersh published a\u00a0bombshell report on his\u00a0Substack that alleged\u00a0the US blew up the Russia-to-Germany NatGas pipeline<\/a> as part of a covert operation under the guise of the BALTOPS 22 NATO exercise.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“The Navy proposed using a newly commissioned submarine to assault the pipeline directly. The Air Force discussed dropping bombs with delayed fuses that could be set off remotely.\u00a0The CIA argued that whatever was done, it would have to be covert. Everyone involved understood the stakes,”\u00a0the report, entitled\u00a0How America Took Out The Nord Stream<\/a>\u00a0<\/a>Pipeline<\/a>, reads.<\/em><\/p>\n

Days after the explosion, America’s corporate media outlets pushed this propaganda.\u00a0<\/p>\n
