US Intel Undercuts DOJ’s “Foreign Interference” Claim Used To Smear Conservative Pundits<\/span><\/p>\n

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) announced Friday that it has not \u201cobserved\u201d any foreign interference in the 2024 election, seemingly undermining cynical remarks by Attorney General Merrick Garland.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

The ODNI\u2019s Foreign Malign Influence Center (FMIC)\u00a0stated<\/a>\u00a0in a 2-page report that the intelligence community \u201chas not observed any foreign actor seeking to interfere in the conduct of the 2024 elections.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>Natalie Winters<\/a>, a co-host of the Steve Bannon WarRoom podcast, first reported these findings.<\/p>\n

While the report stipulated that Russia \u201cposes the most active foreign influence threat\u201d to the election, it found no evidence of meddling.\u00a0<\/strong>The FMIC\u2019s assertions come just days after Garland\u00a0issued dire warnings<\/a>\u00a0about so-called\u00a0foreign influence targeting the election<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Garland announced actions targeting what he described as Russian-ordered schemes aimed at swaying the upcoming election.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The leftist attorney general\u00a0unveiled<\/a>\u00a0an indictment against two RT (Russia Today) employees accused of funneling $10 million to \u201cfund and direct\u201d an American company to promote pro-Russia content.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company was revealed to be\u00a0Tenet Media<\/a>, owned by influencer Lauren Cheng and her husband, Liam Donovan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The\u00a0DOJ claimed<\/a>\u00a0the media company used the funds to hire high-profile conservative influencers, including\u00a0Benny Johnson<\/a>,\u00a0Tim Pool<\/a>, Dave Rubin and Lauren Southern.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Media outlets and left-wing figures have seized on these DOJ allegations to launch what appears to be a unified smear campaign against these conservative influencers, many known for their pro-Trump content.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Notably, while the investigation remains open, the DOJ has not accused any of these figures of any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n

Along with the indictment, the DOJ\u00a0seized<\/a>\u00a032 internet domains allegedly used by Russia to impersonate American media outlets in a bid to\u00a0influence\u00a0voters in elections, including the 2024 presidential contest between Vice President Kamala Harris and President Donald Trump.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth of the schemes I have just discussed make clear the ends to which the Russian government \u2014 including at its highest levels \u2014 is willing to go to undermine our democratic process,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Garland claimed at a\u00a0round-table<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
