Are New-World-Order Elites Plotting To Use AI To ‘Deprogram’ So-Called Conspiracy Theorists?<\/span><\/p>\n

Might the\u00a0New World Order<\/a>\u00a0use biased, pre-manipulated\u00a0artificial intelligence<\/a>\u00a0programs to try to \u201cdeprogram\u201d those with unpopular opinions by persuading them that their logic does not compute?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

A recent\u00a0study<\/a>\u00a0on that subject underwritten by the\u00a0John Templeton Foundation<\/a>\u00a0might give so-called conspiracy theorists one more thing to be paranoid about, according to\u00a0Popular Science<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Critics have already sounded the alarm that leftist radicals in\u00a0Silicon Valley<\/a>\u00a0and elsewhere were manipulating the algorithms used to train AI so that it automatically defaulted to anti-conservative biases.<\/p>\n

The next step may be programming any verboten viewpoints into the realm of \u201cconspiracy theory,\u201d then having powerful computers challenge human users to a battle of logic that inevitably is stacked against them with cherrypicked data.<\/p>\n

The study, titled \u201cDurably reducing conspiracy beliefs through dialogues with AI,\u201d attempted to counter the common view that some people will not change their minds, even when presented with facts and evidence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Addressing the problem of \u201cwidespread belief in unsubstantiated conspiracy theories,\u201d researchers postulated that conspiracy theories can, contrary to the scientific narrative, be countered by way of systematic\u00a0fact-checking<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Among those theories tested were more traditional conspiracies such as those involving the assassination of\u00a0John F. Kennedy<\/a>\u00a0or the possibility of alien landings that were known to the United States government.<\/p>\n

But others included more immediately politicized claims, such as the lawfulness of\u00a0COVID<\/a>\u00a0lockdowns or the validity of the\u00a02020 presidential election<\/a>, both of which are a\u00a0\u201cmajor source of public concern.\u201d<\/p>\n

The study was conducted by having conspiratorial participants engage in brief conversations with AI, with the aim of \u201ccuring\u201d the participants of their ostensibly false opinions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Researchers concluded that \u201cthe treatment reduced participants\u2019 belief in their chosen conspiracy theory by 20% on average,\u201d suggesting that \u201ctreating\u201d people with certain facts can indeed alter their opinions, particularly when those facts come from AI bots.<\/p>\n

The \u201ctreatment\u201d received also reportedly \u201cpersisted undiminshed for at least 2 months,\u201d meaning that such conditioning could eventuate in regular treatment for those deemed conspiracy theorists.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ultimately, then, AI conditioning was determined to be a potentially useful tool in addressing the \u201cpsychological needs and motivations\u201d of such people. Researchers speculated that the technology could be implemented online in the coming years, particularly in online forums or on social media.<\/p>\n

David Rand, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who co-authored the study, told reporters that he was optimistic about the future of AI conditioning.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is really exciting,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> he said. \u201cIt seemed like it worked and it worked quite broadly.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
