Hong Kong is a top destination for Chinese corporations and individuals conducting offshore operations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2024-10-01_12-09-11.gif?itok=uQaLB0gl\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Cayman Islands, Switzerland, and Singapore are common destinations for U.S. offshore operations. American hold almost $1.6 trillion abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Together, individuals and companies from the UK, France, and Germany hold $2.1 trillion abroad.<\/p>\n<h2>What Is a Tax Haven?<\/h2>\n<p>A tax haven offers foreign businesses and individuals minimal or no tax liability.
