{"id":1501077,"date":"2024-11-07T22:40:00","date_gmt":"2024-11-08T03:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bugaluu.com\/news\/?p=1501077"},"modified":"2024-11-07T22:40:00","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T03:40:00","slug":"2028-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bugaluu.com\/news\/2028-2\/1501077\/","title":{"rendered":"2028"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden\">2028<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thomas699.substack.com\/p\/2028\"><em>Authored by Thomas Buckley via &#8216;The Point&#8217; substack,<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>So, well, now that\u2019s over, let\u2019s look at the 2028 presidential race.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>If you are polite, you just swore in your head \u2013 if you\u2019re normal, you did it out loud.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>But sometimes we like to torture our readers, so let\u2019s look ahead four years, shall we?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/httpssubstack-post-media.s3.amaz%20-%202024-11-07T113735.192.jpg?itok=Bld_SC_I\"><\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h2>On the Democrat side of the aisle:<\/h2>\n<p>First, I wonder how one says \u201cneener neener\u201d in each of the world\u2019s 7,000 languages?<\/p>\n<p>Mean, but I think we all deserve a football spike or two after the last four years.<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump is the happiest person in the country today, the 73 or so million people who voted for him are a close second, and in a very close third is Gavin Newsom.<\/p>\n<p>It can only be assumed that the his Plumpjack (such a creepy name) wine flowed very freely last night at whichever house Gavin and the First Partner were at.\u00a0 Donald Trump just did Newsom a huge favor \u2013 he vanquished the one person who could have absolutely guaranteed he couldn\u2019t run for president at least 2032 and by that time \u2013 let\u2019s face it: the boyish charm will have worn off a bit and the oil slick oin his head will be a bit grey and those are his two \u201cbest\u201d\u00a0 electoral qualities so, phewww.<\/p>\n<p><strong>With her out of the way, Newsom now has a clear path to the nomination.\u00a0<\/strong> The national media will fawn over him and try to convince the rest of the country that California is not actually as much of a third world basket case as and if it is it\u2019s, um, Ronald Reagan\u2019s fault.<\/p>\n<p>Last night\u2019s results also means that Newsom will tack to the middle for the next two years as governor, desperately trying to rub the progressive stink off of himself.\u00a0 Not that that\u2019s really great, but \u2013 for California \u2013 it\u2019s better than nothing as he may turn back some of the most egregiously silly ideas the legislature tries to foist upon the state.<\/p>\n<p>Case in point, Newsom issued a statement yesterday that he will \u201cwork with\u201d the new administration.<\/p>\n<p>One serious downside for Newsom did emerge last night \u2013 the nation\u2019s opinion of the state.\u00a0 That will be tough to overcome, hence one can expect the aforementioned policy shifts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As for Newsom\u2019s potential competition, let\u2019s start with Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.\u00a0 <\/strong>True, Kamala lost his state but that is not at all on him, as it were.\u00a0 In fact, it seems she did him a favor by passing him over for the veep spot on the ticket.<\/p>\n<p>Of course she only settled on the rolling dough of goofball that is\/was Tim Walz (note to Democrats: stopping nominating chubby white guys named Tim to be vice president, \u00a0it just doesn\u2019t work) because Shapiro is Jewish.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There is no other reason, no matter what she has claimed.\u00a0 She simply could not have a dastardly colonizing rapacious JEW on her ticket, what with her base being so rabidly anti-Semitic (not anti-Israel, just straight up anti-Semitic.)<\/p>\n<p>If the relatively moderate Shapiro holds Pennsylvania together for the next few years \u2013 which will be made easier by Donald Trump\u2019s labor and energy policies, to be honest \u2013 he will be very strongly positioned for 2028 as the saner alternative to Newsom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Then we have Illinois Gov. J.B Pritzker, but he has some very heavy baggage.<\/strong>\u00a0 First, he looks like a Thomas Nast caricature of an evil Gilded Age plutocrat\/corrupt politician.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/httpssubstack-post-media.s3.amaz%20-%202024-11-07T113912.180.jpg?itok=mZWPo-Sg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And now Pritzker:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/httpssubstack-post-media.s3.amaz%20-%202024-11-07T113938.761.jpg?itok=leOFAAZ-\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He is also in charge of one of the most poorly run, brokest, and corrupt states in the country that has outmigration numbers that give California a run for its money.\u00a0 And Chicago has more murders than pretty much anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, he does not have the charm to try to cover things like that up like Newsom does.<\/p>\n<p>True, he\u2019s a zillionaire (richer than Trump, actually) but it is inherited wealth (hotels) and his other trust fund relatives have done some absurdly woke things with their share of the money.\u00a0 <strong>His cousin Jennifer \u2013 it used to be James \u2013gave a $2 million donation to create the world&#8217;s first endowed academic chair of transgender studies, at the University of Victoria in British Columbia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oh, and here she\/he\/whatever is:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/httpssubstack-post-media.s3.amaz%20-%202024-11-07T113955.504.jpg?itok=qZzoRv4p\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kudos for her military service when she was a guy and her continuing support of veteran\u2019s causes but, well, yikes.\u00a0 Fat old white guys should not wear dresses.<\/p>\n<p>Case in point, <strong>Admiral Rachel Levine:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/httpssubstack-post-media.s3.amaz%20-%202024-11-07T114012.839.jpg?itok=4E5egxEO\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of women, there\u2019s Michigan Gov. <strong>Gretchen Whitmer.<\/strong>\u00a0 Personally, I\u2019m baffled by her appeal and why she is constantly touted as the Democrats \u201cnext big thing,\u201d and that even before her Flamin\u2019 Hot Eucharist stunt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/httpssubstack-post-media.s3.amaz%20-%202024-11-07T114044.499.jpg?itok=SRUEDbAn\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Oh, and here\u2019s the link to the vid:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/i\/status\/1844449775992893861\">https:\/\/x.com\/i\/status\/1844449775992893861<\/a><\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s very controlling and privileged \u2013 her record during the pandemic could be the poster child for \u201crules for thee, not for me,\u201d although she did get pretty lit at a football game so I\u2019ll give her that.<\/p>\n<p>And then you have <strong>Pete Buttigieg<\/strong> \u2013 he\u2019s gay, ya\u2019 know \u2013 and Maryland Gov. <strong>Wes Moore<\/strong> \u2013 he\u2019s black, ya\u2019 know \u2013 and then a bunch of other folks who will give it a shot.<\/p>\n<p>And <strong>many others \u2013 except Kamala<\/strong>, lol &#8211; will give it a shot for it is a rather rare occurrence that a nomination for either party is completely wide open.<\/p>\n<h2>On the Republican side, it\u2019s Vice President Presumptive J.D. Vance\u2019s race to lose.<\/h2>\n<p>Trump cannot run again, so that opens up the nomination.\u00a0 And short of Trump nuking Canada and\/or appointing Mike Pence as his Chief of Staff, <strong>Vance is the very very odds-on favorite.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Florida Gov.<strong> Ron DeSantis<\/strong> could have thought about challenging for 2028, but he made the huuuuge mistake of running for president this time around.\u00a0 And his campaign was a pathetic disaster, so that\u2019s strike two through eleven.<\/p>\n<p>Other than that, at this moment there is no alternative to Vance for the Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>But another issue that will be extremely important in the run up to 2028 will be what the Democrats do internally.<\/p>\n<p>No changes in California \u2013 they have 147 legislators out of 120, of course \u2013 but in the national arena.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s results must show the party that it is utterly out of touch and that when it does try to touch people it can only be described a \u201cBAD touch!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>But if the Democrats try to move to the center-ish they will have to deal with the lunatics they have let run the asylum.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Gaza.\u00a0 Trans.\u00a0 DEI.\u00a0 Government unions.\u00a0 Speech codes.\u00a0 Greenaholism.\u00a0 Microaggressions.\u00a0 And on and on\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The party has based its existence over the past few years, as well as much of its funding, on those very things.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>To paraphrase supporters of Joe Biden in 2020, they have let the children run the room.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And now the regular Democrats \u2013 who obviated their responsibility &#8211;\u00a0 have to give them a spanking and that is going to be difficult.\u00a0 I mean, you have people on the loony left of the party that refer to being \u201cpro-life\u201d as being part of \u201cthe forced birth movement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The wokerati \u2013 who bitch and moan about everything anyway \u2013 will not go gently into that good night.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And whiny.
