Parents’ Rights Group Reveals Dept Of Ed Spent $1 Billion On DEI Since 2021<\/span><\/p>\n

A parental rights group published a report showing that the Department of Education has spent enormous sums to promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.<\/p>\n

Parents Defending Education<\/a>\u00a0works to \u201creclaim our schools from activists imposing harmful agendas.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

It published its\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0on Dec. 12 demonstrating that, since 2021, the Department of Education has spent $1,002,522,304.81 to promote DEI at \u201cuniversities, school districts, and nonprofits.\u201d<\/p>\n

That sum includes $489,883,797.81 for \u201cDEI Hiring,\u201d $343,337,286 for \u201cDEI Programming,\u201d and $169,301,221 for \u201cBased Mental health\/Social Emotional Learning.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Some of the report\u2019s \u201ckey findings\u201d include a $1,261,718 to the University of Iowa to \u201ctrain 40 elementary teachers to \u2018enact equity-centered education\u2019 in partner K-12 districts.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The report also highlights a $4 million grant to the Regents of the University of California, U.C. San Diego for a program to \u201cdirectly engage high school youth from low-income, racial minoritized groups.\u201d<\/p>\n

The federal government routinely pours great sums into promoting DEI in higher education.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In October, the\u00a0National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0it would hand out more than $7 million to six different universities to \u201cgrow initiatives in engineering-related disciplines and fields for learners who have historically been underrepresented and underserved in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

NASA\u2019s senior advisor for engagement and equity Shahra Lambert said the grants would help pave \u201cthe way for greater diversity in engineering and STEM.\u201d<\/p>\n

The National Institutes of Health also\u00a0granted<\/a>\u00a0more than $19 million to The City University of New York to found a new \u201cCenter for Minority Health, Equity and Social Justice.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
