He met for about two hours with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer in Washington Monday.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The US officials indicated that the 20% \u201creciprocal\u201d tariffs \u2014 which have been reduced to 10% for 90 days \u2014 as well as other tariffs targeting sectors including cars and metals would not be removed outright, <\/strong>said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>And it is that last bit that upset markets, sending stocks back into the red after a solid short squeeze at the open&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2025-04-15_07-21-12.jpg?itok=LlKL8SR1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The EU has offered that both sides remove all tariffs on industrial goods, including cars.
