Germany Is On The Brink Of National Suicide<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

This week, Germany\u2019s only major right-wing opposition party, Alternative for Germany (AfD), was officially labeled an \u201cextremist\u201d group by the country\u2019s domestic intelligence agency, the BfV.<\/p>\n

The designation sent shockwaves through the political landscape.<\/p>\n

AfD immediately challenged it in court, prompting the agency to suspend enforcement while litigation proceeds.<\/p>\n

But the damage, Hanson said, has already been done.<\/p>\n

This move, he argued, wasn\u2019t about public safety\u2014it was about political control.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecently, the German government announced that it is going to label or maybe relabel the Alternative for Deutschland,\u201d Hanson explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe conservative party that has an antithetical agenda both to the German government of both liberal and conservative factions, but also to the EU in general.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

He said the classification ensures AfD will remain on the outside of political power, regardless of how many people support them.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will cement this aura that no government under their parliamentary democracy system will ask them to join to form a majority government,\u201d Hanson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo the process of ostracism and demonization of this party continues.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

And for what? The real issue, he said, is that AfD simply offers a different vision.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe party is advocating an alternative for the way that Germany is going.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

So where is Germany going?<\/p>\n

Hanson painted a bleak picture\u2014of economic decline, energy failure, and political denial.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you look at what has become of Germany,\u201d he said, \u201cit has had two years of essentially no growth or negative growth.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

He noted the country finally reached its long-delayed NATO defense spending goal, pledging 2% of GDP\u2014something it was supposed to do back in 2014.<\/p>\n

But the milestone felt more like a bare-minimum box-check than a serious turning point.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just barely did it,\u201d Hanson said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Germany has doubled down on green energy while dismantling its nuclear infrastructure, despite the country\u2019s climate not being suited for solar reliance.<\/p>\n

The results have been catastrophic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

German electricity costs are now roughly four times higher than those in the United States.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s not just hitting households\u2014it\u2019s pushing away manufacturers and investors who can no longer justify doing business in the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can see what that\u2019s going to do to German investment,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Hanson warned.<\/p>\n

So where is Germany going?<\/p>\n

The problems aren\u2019t limited to energy and economics.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hanson pointed to a deeper crisis\u2014one that strikes at the heart of Germany\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n

Open borders and mass migration, largely from the Middle East, has dramatically reshaped the population.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And according to Hanson, the consequences are both cultural and existential.<\/p>\n

He estimated that 16 to 18 percent of Germany\u2019s population wasn\u2019t born in the country and has not assimilated.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are refugees\u2014or I don\u2019t think they\u2019re refugees,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re illegal immigrants from the volatile Middle East. Most of them are Muslim. Most of them do not have an intention of assimilating, intermarrying, and integrating fully in German society.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The government\u2019s refusal to address this, he said, has allowed a demographic transformation to unfold without public debate or accountability.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s a far cry from the Germany that once held Europe together.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor years, Germany was the powerhouse, the cohesive economic power that kept the EU together,\u201d Hanson recalled. \u201cIt\u2019s very tragic.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even the German military\u2014a former pillar of NATO\u2014is now little more than a shell.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the Cold War, it fielded one of the best NATO armies\u2026 well over 400,000 troops,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s almost literally disarmed.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a functioning democracy, Hanson argued, this kind of failure would trigger a national reckoning.<\/p>\n

There would be debate. Conflict. Reform. Politicians and citizens would argue over energy, borders, military policy, and economic growth. They\u2019d hash it out\u2014then find consensus.<\/p>\n

Germany would close its borders. Demand full assimilation. Return to reliable energy. And reassert itself on the global stage.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what you\u2019d expect in a healthy system.<\/p>\n

But instead of debating those solutions, the one party calling for them is silenced.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey would do all of that,\u201d Hanson said. \u201cBut instead, when one party is advocating much of what I just talked about, they demonize it because it\u2019s out of the norm.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then came the most chilling line of all:<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the norm, unfortunately in Germany today, is national suicide.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Hanson, this isn\u2019t just a German issue.<\/p>\n

The collapse of a once-great Western democracy\u2014economically, militarily, and culturally\u2014will have ripple effects far beyond Europe.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, this is not going to end well for Germany,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it\u2019s not going to end well for us. We need a powerful, friendly Germany and we wish it well.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut the reaction to needed reform\u2014economic, political, social, cultural, military, diplomatic\u2014is not to essentially ban a political party\u2019s freedom of expression. That shows weakness and fear rather than confidence in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
