Congress To Seize Control Of AI: States Stripped Of Regulatory Power<\/span><\/p>\n

Buried deep in Congress\u2019s 1,116-page \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill Act<\/a>\u201d is a provision so sweeping, so dystopian, and so underreported that it\u2019s hard to believe it was passed at all.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Section 43201 of the bill, blandly titled the\u00a0\u201cArtificial Intelligence and Information Technology Modernization Initiative,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0doesn\u2019t just fund the federal government\u2019s full-scale AI expansion\u2014it\u00a0removes every state\u2019s right to regulate artificial intelligence for the next decade.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let that sink in: For the next ten years, no state in America\u2014not even your state<\/strong>\u2014will be allowed to create its own safeguards, protections, or liability standards for how AI is developed or deployed.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo State or political subdivision thereof may enforce any law or regulation regulating artificial intelligence models\u2026 during the 10-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This is not a theoretical threat.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a\u00a0federal ban on local AI regulation<\/strong>\u2014handing the reins to the very bureaucrats and corporate tech giants already embedding AI into military systems, healthcare, financial markets, education, and law enforcement.<\/p>\n

This section of the bill is a preemptive strike against state sovereignty.<\/p>\n

It neuters legislatures and governors from protecting their own citizens\u2014just as powerful corporations and federal agencies rush to install AI systems into every layer of society.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not just overreach.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a federal power grab dressed as \u201cmodernization.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

And President Trump is now\u00a0marching<\/a>\u00a0on Capitol Hill to personally demand the bill\u2019s passage\u2014pushing the very legislation that would shield his $500 billion\u00a0Stargate AI surveillance grid<\/a>\u00a0from any state-level resistance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The bill\u2014developed by the\u00a0House Budget Committee<\/a>, which\u00a0passed<\/a>\u00a0the legislation yesterday\u2014still needs to be voted on in the House and Senate before it hits Trump\u2019s desk, so if you want your senators and representatives to vote no on it, you can\u00a0contact them here<\/a>\u00a0and tell them why.<\/p>\n
