{"id":1537424,"date":"2025-05-22T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-05-22T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bugaluu.com\/news\/?p=1537424"},"modified":"2025-05-22T03:00:00","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T07:00:00","slug":"what-are-the-most-popular-baby-names-in-the-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bugaluu.com\/news\/what-are-the-most-popular-baby-names-in-the-us\/1537424\/","title":{"rendered":"What Are The Most Popular Baby Names In The US?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden\">What Are The Most Popular Baby Names In The US?<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p><strong>Olivia, Emma and Amelia <\/strong>have been announced as the three most popular baby names for girls in the U.S., while for boys, <strong>Liam, Noah and Oliver<\/strong> were parents&#8217; favorites.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This is according to the U.S. Social Security Administration\u2019s annual\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/OACT\/babynames\/top5names.html\">list<\/a>\u00a0of the most popular baby names in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>According to the institution, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/34484\/top-three-names-for-girls-and-boys-in-the-us\/\">Statista&#8217;s Anna Fleck reports that the list, released earlier this month,<\/a> is based on applications for Social Security cards, which are submitted at the time of birth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Olivia and Liam have held the top spots for the past six consecutive years. <\/strong>The third position has shown slightly more variation since 2015, with the appearance of Amelia, Charlotte, Ava and Sophia for girls, as well as William and Mason for boys.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/34484\/top-three-names-for-girls-and-boys-in-the-us\/\" title=\"Infographic: What Are the Most Popular Baby Names in the U.S.? | Statista\"><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>You will find more infographics at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chartoftheday\/\">Statista<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Other girls&#8217; names that featured in the top 10 last year were Charlotte, Mia, Sophia, Isabella, Evlyn and Ava.
