CNN Panel Triggered By Trump’s Description Of Rioters As “Insurrectionists”<\/span><\/p>\n

President Trump described the rioters in LA as \u201cinsurrectionists\u201d while talking to the press, and it triggered CNN into an almighty flap.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trump was asked whether he believes those causing the trouble are people ICE is trying to deport or if they are professional agitators.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people that are causing the problem are professional agitators,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>he responded, adding \u201cThey\u2019re insurrectionists. They\u2019re bad people. They should be in jail.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

NEW: CNN panel is clearly flustered after President Trump calls the LA rioters a bunch of \u201cinsurrectionists.\u201d<\/p>\n

CNN Trump hater Dana Bash immediately whined \u201cThat word he used, they\u2019re insurrectionists. I can\u2019t imagine that that was an accident because it seems as though that is the place White House is trying to get, and for the president it\u2019s icing on the cake he can do it in California because on a whole host of issues he has had California, Gavin Newsom in particular in his sights.\u201d<\/p>\n

Panelist Stephen Collinson responded, \u201cThis is a very serious word that is being thrown around now, \u2018insurrection\u2019. That\u2019s a rebellion of States or people in the states against federal government.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes.<\/p>\n

Collinson continued, \u201cThat is not something to be trifled with. If for example, to your point, the President were to Invoke the Insurrection Act, I think we would have yet another legal morass. It will be another instance of the way that the White House is trying to declare emergencies or insurrections in order to unlock vast powers which most presidents don\u2019t have access to.\u201d<\/p>\n

So essentially, he\u2019s saying Trump wants the insurrection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ok, bud. We see what you\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n

Earlier during the same interaction with the press, Trump said that he would arrest California governor Gavin Newsom.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would do it if I were Tom (Homan). I think it\u2019s great,\u201d Trump said, adding \u201cGavin likes the publicity, but I think it would be a great thing.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s done a terrible job. Look, I like Gavin Newsom. He\u2019s a nice guy, but he\u2019s grossly incompetent. Everybody knows. All you have to do is look at the little railroad he\u2019s building. It\u2019s about 100 times over budget,\u201d Trump further urged.<\/p>\n
