Biden Claims European Leaders, Dems, & Republicans Are Calling Him As Trump Unravels His ‘Accomplishments’<\/span><\/p>\n

Joe Biden asserted Wednesday that European leaders, as well as Democrat and even Republican office holders have been reaching out to him since President Donald Trump took office. Biden also complained that his \u201caccomplishments\u201d from his stint in the White House were \u201cchanging so rapidly\u201d under President Donald Trump,\u00a0the Wall Street Journal<\/a>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n

Biden was tapped to deliver the keynote speech at a conference of human resources professionals in San Diego held by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), amid a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee\u00a0investigation into the cover-up<\/a>\u00a0of his mental decline while in office.<\/p>\n

Following his remarks, Biden sat down with the SHRM president and CEO, Johnny Taylor, for a live chat.<\/p>\n

The 82-year-old took credit for strengthening NATO, and claimed that he regularly gets calls from world leaders asking him to get more involved, although he offered no details.<\/p>\n

Trump has been critical of NATO and has repeatedly complained about the lack of military spending among NATO allies, though he recently concluded that the alliance was \u201cnot a rip-off.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finland and Sweden joined NATO during Biden\u2019s term in office, prompted by Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Under Biden, the U.S. supplied Ukraine with billions of dollars in defense aid, while under Trump, munitions shipments to Ukraine\u00a0have been paused.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe strengthened NATO in a significant way,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Biden asserted. \u201cNow, I\u2019m getting calls. I\u2019m not going to go into it, I can\u2019t, from a number of European leaders asking me to get engaged. I\u2019m not, but I\u2019m giving advice. Because things are different,\u201d he continued, stressing \u201cI\u2019m not, but I\u2019m giving advice.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Biden went on to assert that his opinion on unspecified matters was also in high demand among members of congress.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m also dealing with a lot of Democrats and Republican colleagues calling me, wanting to talk \u2014 not because they think I have the answer, just to bounce things off [me],\u201d<\/strong> he said, without disclosing what topics he has been consulted about.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cHow can you just walk away?\u201d<\/strong> Biden asked. \u201cYou don\u2019t see me out there publicly doing a lot of this,\u201d he added.<\/em><\/p>\n

Biden asserted that he remains involved in political discussions \u201cbecause I really cared about what I was doing\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of the things I worked so damn hard, that I thought I changed in the country, are changing so rapidly,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> he lamented.<\/p>\n

Biden also told the crowd that he has been \u201cworking like hell\u201d to write a 500-page book documenting his term in the White House. \u201cEvery president is expected to write a memoir,\u201d he quipped,\u00a0adding<\/a>\u00a0that his publisher wants it out by \u201cMarch of this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response to Biden\u2019s remarks, White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said flatly: \u201cAbsolutely no one is calling Joe Biden for advice because his disastrous foreign policy left America weaker than ever before.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Kelly added: \u201cThanks to President Trump, NATO allies have made a historic 5 percent defense spending pledge, Iran\u2019s nuclear capabilities are obliterated, and our country\u2019s standing on the world stage is restored.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s comments lamenting the unraveling of his baleful legacy came during a week in which Trump racked up huge wins with Supreme Court rulings, foreign policy, low border crossings, outstanding economic news, and the passage of the \u201cBig Beautiful Bill.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Trump is delivering win after win for the American people, and we are the hottest nation in the world,\u201d White House spokesperson Liz Huston said in a statement Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe One, Big, Beautiful Bill is going to pass, Iran\u2019s nuclear capabilities are obliterated, the stock market is at record highs, the border is the most secure its ever been, and the Supreme Court just ended nationwide injunctions that were being abused to halt the rest of the America First agenda,\u201d Huston said. \u201cThanks to President Trump \u2014 the Golden Age of America is here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney\u00a0told Sky News<\/a>\u00a0that no one should \u201cbegrudge\u201d Biden for giving the speech.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy guess is he was paid between one and two million dollars,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Mulvaney said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
