Here’s How Lindsey Graham Manipulated Trump Against Putin<\/span><\/p>\n

It all started by tricking Trump into thinking that Ukraine has trillions of dollars\u2019 worth of rare earths…<\/strong><\/p>\n

RT published two critical pieces about Lindsey Graham, \u201cWorld War mastermind: Here\u2019s America\u2019s most dangerous person<\/a>\u201d and \u201cGraham threatens Putin: US war hawk escalates rhetoric in alignment with military lobby<\/a>\u201d, shortly after Trump announced his\u00a0new three-pronged approach<\/a>\u00a0to Ukraine. This analysis\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0earlier mentioned how Graham was one of those responsible for manipulating Trump against Putin, while the present one will elaborate on how that came to be given the prominent role that he played.<\/p>\n

Graham is the defense industry\u2019s darling<\/strong> whom they\u2019ve generously donated to over the years as documented by\u00a0Yahoo Finance<\/a>,\u00a0The Intercept<\/a>, and\u00a0Sputnik<\/a>, et al.\u00a0Forbes<\/a>\u00a0also reported on the donations that he\u2019s received from over a dozen billionaires. The first group donates to him since they have facilities in his state of South Carolina while the second does so since they\u2019ve invested in those companies. Graham is suspected of investing in them too in what\u2019s since become a toxic symbiotic relationship.<\/p>\n

He warmongers against states like Russia to justify more defense spending, the defense companies that donated to him get more state contracts, and he in turn profits from rising stock prices, and on and on. Although Trump is his political ally, his campaign pledge to end the Ukrainian Conflict threatened to hit Graham\u2019s bottom line if he returned to office and made good on it, hence why he scrambled to stop him. This explains why he suddenly started talking about Ukraine\u2019s rare earth minerals in summer 2024.<\/p>\n

He first\u00a0claimed<\/a>\u00a0that they\u2019re worth $10-12 trillion,\u00a0repeated<\/a>\u00a0their \u201cmore than a trillion dollars-worth\u201d after visiting Kiev that August, and then\u00a0declared<\/a>\u00a0in late November after the election that \u201cDonald Trump is going to do a deal to get our money back, to enrich ourselves with rare earth minerals.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0bne Intellinews<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0The Telegraph<\/a>, among others, doubted the value of Ukraine\u2019s rare earths. Nevertheless, an amended deal was agreed to in spring, which was\u00a0predicted<\/a>\u00a0to lead to more US arms packages.<\/p>\n

Once Trump was tricked by Graham into thinking that Ukraine possessed trillions of dollars\u2019 worth of rare earth minerals, including under Russian-controlled soil that Kiev claims as its own, the defense industry\u2019s darling got to work\u00a0duping Trump into thinking<\/a>\u00a0that Putin was \u201ctapping [him] along\u201d during their talks. Graham is one of Trump\u2019s most outspoken allies and they\u2019re also\u00a0golf<\/a>\u00a0buddies<\/a>\u00a0so he obtained his trust that was then exploited to manipulate him against Putin in order to derail the \u201cNew D\u00e9tente<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n

A swift peace with Russia without a proxy war or at least a crisis with China shortly thereafter would have raised questions about the Pentagon\u2019s\u00a0largest-ever $1 trillion budget<\/a>\u00a0that Graham championed <\/strong>at the behest of his defense industry donors with whom he has a toxic symbiotic relationship.<\/p>\n

By furthering their shared taxpayer-funded financial interests, Graham not only got Trump to escalate US involvement in the conflict, but also to\u00a0threaten up to 100% tariffs<\/a>\u00a0against Russia\u2019s trading partners within 50 days.<\/p>\n

Both are betrayals of his base since escalation could embroil the US in another forever war like MAGA thought leader Steve Bannon\u00a0warned<\/a>\u00a0in January, not to mention risk World War III by miscalculation, while 100% tariffs on China could greatly harm US consumers if they last.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Graham could care less though since more conflict with Russia and tensions with China are profitable for him. His\u00a0close friend John McCain<\/a>\u00a0at least truly believed in his warmongering while Graham just does it for self-enrichment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
