Trump Explains Why He Kicked Epstein Out Of Mar-a-Lago; Turned Down Invite To Pedo Island<\/span><\/p>\n

President Trump told reporters on Monday about the falling out he had with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein years ago that led him to ban the convicted sex trafficker from Mar-a-Lago. Trump also proudly proclaimed that he had turned down \u201cthe privilege\u201d of ever traveling to Epstein\u2019s infamous \u201cPedo Island.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t want to go to his island\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Trump said.<\/p>\n

The president was asked about Epstein as he sat for a bilateral meeting with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Turnberry, Scotland, Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Trump irritably called the Democrats\u2019 sudden interest in the Epstein Files \u201ca hoax that has been built up way beyond proportion,\u201d and argued that if there was any damning information in the files about himself, it would already be in the public domain.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose files were run by the worst scum on earth,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Trump said, referring to the Biden Department of Justice. \u201cIf they had anything, I assume they would have released it. The whole thing is a hoax,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> the president insisted.<\/p>\n

Trump also told reporters that it was possible that Democrats could have \u201ceasily put something in the files that\u2019s a phony.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Trump went on to argue that the American people are not buying the Epstein \u201choax.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMy poll numbers are up 4.5 points since this ridiculous Epstein stuff. Up 4.5 points! Because people don\u2019t buy it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The president also shot down\u00a0 the Wall Street Journal\u2019s \u201cbombshell\u201d story detailing his alleged\u00a0\u201cbawdy\u201d birthday letter to Epstein.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t do drawings,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Trump insisted, while acknowledging that he has made simple doodles of buildings when people have asked. \u201cI\u2019ll draw four lines and a little roof, you know, for charity,\u201d Trump explained. \u201cBut I\u2019m not a drawing person. I don\u2019t do drawings of women.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked why Epstein was kicked out of his exclusive Palm Beach club, Trump appeared\u00a0reticent initially.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s such old history,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> he said. \u201cVery easy to explain, but I don\u2019t want to waste your time by explaining it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor years, I wouldn\u2019t talk to Jeffrey Epstein,\u201d the president continued, explaining that he cut Epstein off \u201cbecause he did something that was inappropriate.\u201d\u00a0 Trump told the reporters that Epstein had hired away his \u201chelp.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe stole people who worked for me,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> the president continued. \u201cI said don\u2019t ever do that again. He did it again and I threw him out of the place, persona non grata. I threw him out, and that was it,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Trump said. \u201cI\u2019m glad I did if you want to know the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

And by the way, I never went to the island, and Bill Clinton went there supposedly 28 times. I never went to the island but Larry Summers I hear went there\u2014he was the head of Harvard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump complained that \u201cmany other people that are big people\u201d had visited Pedo Island \u201cbut nobody ever talks about them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI never had the privilege of going to his island, and I did turn it down but a lot of people in Palm Beach were invited to his island,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> the president said.<\/p>\n

Trump added proudly that \u201cin one of my very good moments, I turned it down. I didn\u2019t want to go to his island.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
