U.S.\u00a0Immigration and Customs Enforcement\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0detention of an illegal alien named Jesus Ter\u00e1n, who temporarily worked as a carpenter, has prompted left-wing media figures to draw comical parallels to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was also a carpenter.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teran was arrested during one of his ICE appointments\u00a0on July 8. He had previously been denied entry to the U.S. in 2015 and was later allowed in under the Biden administration in 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While Teran\u2019s case is no different from that of countless other illegal aliens who entered the country under the permissive immigration policies of the Biden administration, some media personalities fixated on his name, triggering the Christ comparisons.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The article, which unusually referred to Ter\u00e1n by his first name throughout, featured an image of a hand cuffed to a crucifix.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The\u00a0blatant invocation of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ prompted widespread mockery on X.\u00a0<\/p>\n

X user Nick Rizzuto\u00a0replied<\/a>\u00a0to The Bulwark\u2019s Sam Stein with: \u201cHis name is Mohammed. He\u2019s a Pedophile. Police arrested him.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Another user also mocked Stein, writing, \u201cMy name is Sam. I like MSNBC. I treat the Bible eisegetically.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Others circulated a meme mocking the left\u2019s use of the Bible and Christ to defend illegal immigration.\u00a0<\/p>\n
