‘Toxic Indoctrination’: Dept Of War Cuts Fellowships At 13 ‘Elite’ Universities<\/span><\/p>\n

The U.S. Department of Defense announced the cancellation of its military education fellowships at 13 top universities on Friday, citing \u201ctoxic indoctrination.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are eliminating certain Senior Service College (SSC) Fellowship programs for the 2026-2027 academic year and beyond. I am also directing the compilation of a revised list of elite institutions offering equivalent programs to replace those eliminated,\u201d the agency wrote in a\u00a0memo<\/a>\u00a0to Pentagon leadership.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

It said this change will give leaders \u201ca more rigorous and relevant education.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Further, in a\u00a0video<\/a>\u00a0posted on X,\u00a0 Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said, \u201cFor decades, the Ivy League and similar institutions have gorged themselves on a trust fund of American taxpayer dollars only to become factories of anti-American resentment and military disdain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve replaced the study of victory and pragmatic realism with the promotion of wokeness and weakness,\u201d<\/strong> he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe cannot and will not continue to send our most capable officers, senior officers, into graduate programs that undermine the very values they have sworn to uphold,\u201d Hegseth said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He also said \u201cso-called elite universities\u201d have \u201cpoisoned\u201d the U.S. military education system and \u201cabused their privilege and access to this department and utterly betrayed their purpose.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 13 universities include Tufts, Georgetown, Brown, Columbia, Princeton, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Yale, among others, according to the memo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Department personnel currently attending these schools will be allowed to finish their studies.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The department is also cutting ties with seven non-profit institutions, including the Center for Strategic and International Studies, The Brookings Institution, Center for a New American Security, and Council on Foreign Relations.<\/p>\n

The memo names potential new partners such as Liberty University, Hillsdale College, Arizona State University, Pepperdine University, Baylor University, and The University of Tennessee.<\/p>\n

Last month, Hegseth ordered evaluations of programs at all Ivy League schools and others with \u201csignificant adversary involvement,\u201d<\/strong> according to another department\u00a0memo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe goal is to determine whether or not they actually deliver cost-effective strategic education for future senior leaders when compared to, say, public universities and our military graduate programs,\u201d Hegseth stated.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

This comes amid the Department of War\u2019s recent decision to officially sever major ties with Harvard University, as previously reported by\u00a0The College Fix<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Last month, it announced the military will no longer send active-duty officers to Harvard for fellowships, certificate programs, or graduate-level Professional Military Education.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarvard is woke. The War Department is not,\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Hegseth stated on X.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
