It is down 72% from the 172,017 cuts announced during the same month last year, according to a report released Thursday from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.challengergray.com\/blog\/challenger-report-february-cuts-plunge-hiring-falls-56-percent\/\">global outplacement and executive coaching firm Challenger, Gray &amp; Christmas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFebruary\u2019s dip is <strong>a nice reprieve from the elevated job cut plans to start the year<\/strong>.
