New York Giants rookie Cam Skattebo<\/a> isn’t letting a leg injury stop him from getting into the holiday spirit early this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The NFL<\/a> RB suffered a season-ending right ankle injury in a Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and is currently recovering in a soft cast. He underwent surgery on Oct. 26, hours after the injury, to repair a dislocated ankle, fibula fracture, and ruptured deltoid ligament.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite the setback, Skattebo is getting into the holiday spirit way ahead of schedule.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the Giants<\/a> rookie’s girlfriend, Chloe Rodriguez, shared a festive photo of him decorating a Christmas Tree with a large cast visible on his leg on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“too soon?” Rodriguez captioned the post on her Instagram Stories<\/a>, alongside a Christmas tree emoji.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the festive photo, Skattebo and Rodriguez, who he’s been dating since his time at Arizona State, had stockings hanging from their fireplace mantle and two side-by-side Christmas trees already decorated.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Skattebo isn’t the only athlete getting into the holiday cheer early in 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dallas Cowboys<\/a> tight end Jake Ferguson also has his Christmas decor up weeks before Thanksgiving.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Ferguson’s<\/a> fiancee, Haley Cavinder<\/a>, flexed the couple’s Christmas decorations when she showed off her Week 9 Monday Night Football fit on social media<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While she might’ve intended to show off the No. 8 embroidered on her jeans paired with her stomach-bearing crop top, fans couldn’t help but notice a large strand of Christmas garland strung across her stair rail and fireplace mantle.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

One fan commented, “Need to know where the garland is from sis,” adding, “it looks so good.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cavinder didn’t shy away from the eagle-eyed fan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She replied, “Doing a holiday decor vlog soon!!”\u00a0<\/p>\n
