All-rounder Benny Howell has joined T20 Blast side Notts Outlaws on a two-year deal.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old’s move to Trent Bridge will see him play only in the shortest format of the game for the East Midlands club, with his deal not including One-Day Cup or Championship commitments.<\/p>\n

Howell most recently played for Hampshire, having joined the club from after a 10-year stay with Gloucestershire, and is considered to be among the leading white-ball all-rounders in the country.<\/p>\n

He has taken 255 T20 wickets at a rate of 23.12 and amassed more than 3,200 runs at a strike rate of just over 135 across 266 career games worldwide.<\/p>\n

Nottinghamshire head coach Peter Moores described Howell as “the perfect fit” for a rebuilding T20 side that has failed to get beyond the group stage of the competition in the past two seasons.<\/p>\n

“We’re really excited to welcome him to Trent Bridge, and we can’t wait to see the impact he has both on and off the field,” Moores told the club website.<\/a><\/p>\n
