Georgia Bulldogs<\/a> defensive lineman Gabriel Harris plans to return for his senior season in Athens. Harris is coming off a strong 2025 season, but it was cut short due to a turf toe injury. Georgia<\/a> failed to generate a sack against Ole Miss<\/a> in the Sugar Bowl with Harris out for the game. <\/p>\n

His return provides a boost to Georgia’s 2026 defensive front<\/a>, but his turf toe recovery will likely spill into the spring a bit. He was spotted on crutches at the Sugar Bowl. <\/p>\n

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound defensive lineman posted career-best numbers in 2025. He had 26 tackles, 6 1\/2 tackles for a loss, one sack and appeared in 13 games for Georgia. Harris also recorded two sacks, forced two fumbles and had 14 tackles in 2024. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Harris joins defensive lineman Xzavier McLeod<\/a> in announcing his return to Georgia. The Bulldogs also retained inside linebacker Raylen Wilson for next season. Georgia should have a formidable defense again in 2026. <\/p>\n

Defensive lineman Christen Miller entered the 2026 NFL draft, but Georgia could return Elijah Griffin, Joseph Jonah-Ajonye, Nnamdi Ogboko, Jordan Hall and more along the defensive front. Georgia went in the transfer portal to add Auburn outside linebacker Amaris Williams, a former five-star recruit, that should help Georgia’s pass rush. <\/p>\n
