The Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> are set to kick off at home against the Buffalo Bills<\/a> at 1:00 p.m. Sunday for a wild-card matchup, their first playoff game in three years.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a look at how game-time weather conditions could affect the game. <\/p>\n

According to weather forecasts, brief showers are possible around 9 a.m., several hours before kickoff, but rain is not expected during the game. <\/p>\n

Skies will remain overcast, and temperatures will hover around 65 degrees. More significant, however, is the wind. <\/p>\n

The forecast predicts sustained winds of 10 miles per hour out of the northwest, with gusts up to 21 miles per hour.<\/p>\n

With NFL experts predicting<\/a> a tight contest, the kicking game might play a critical role. <\/p>\n

The Bills have had their struggles at the kicker position this season. Tyler Bass was placed on IR at the start of the season, prompting Buffalo to bring on 41-year-old Matt Prater to handle kicking duties.<\/p>\n

Prater has also struggled with injury this season, missing the Bills\u2019 matchup with the Eagles<\/a> with a quadriceps injury. His replacement, Michael Badgley, missed a key extra point in the 13-12 loss.<\/p>\n

Prater is expected to play Sunday against Jacksonville, but the Bills have brought on journeyman kicker Matthew Wright as insurance.<\/p>\n

Wright served as the Jaguars<\/a>\u2019 kicker for part of the 2021 season.On the season, Prater is 18 for 20<\/a> on field goals and 46 for 49 on extra points.<\/p>\n

For his part, Jaguars\u2019 kicker Cam Little finished the regular season on a heater. After starting 10 for 14 on field goals on the season, Little has been perfect on his last 20 attempts, including an NFL record 68 and 67-yarders.<\/p>\n
