Dolphins to release $110 million Pro Bowl pass rusher after four years<\/a> originally appeared on The Sporting News<\/a>. The Miami Dolphins<\/a> are heading into an offseason bound to be full of change. The future of Tua Tagovailoa is the biggest question mark, but so too is Tyreek Hill’s future.<\/p>\n But, even outside of those two expensive players, the Dolphins have another big decision to make this offseason. It’s on the defensive side of the ball and revolves around a Pro Bowl pass rusher.<\/p>\n According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz<\/a>, the Dolphins made their decision on that pass rusher, as Bradley Chubb, the four-year Dolphins edge rusher, is being released this offseason to begin what’s going to be an offseason of change in Miami.<\/p>\n “Sources: The Dolphins and two-time Pro Bowl pass-rusher Bradley Chubb are parting ways, making the 29-year-old a free agent,” Schultz reports.<\/p>\n After leaving the Denver Broncos<\/a> mid-season in 2022, joining the Dolphins in a trade that sent a first-rounder and a fourth-rounder to the Broncos, Chubb was with the Dolphins for the next four years.<\/p>\n He played eight games in 2022, recording 2.5 sacks. Then in 2023, he played all 16 games, recording 11 sacks and an NFL-best six forced fumbles.
