Western Washington University alum Breezy Johnson<\/a> took home Team USA\u2019s first medal of the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games, earning gold in Women\u2019s Downhill with a time of 1 minute and 36.10 seconds.<\/p>\n A few days later, Johnson lost out on the podium to Jackie Wiles and her teammate Paula Moltzan, who together earned their bronze medals in Alpine Skiing Women\u2019s Team Combined. While she originally hails from Portland, Oregon, U.S. Ski and Snowboard<\/a> calls Wiles \u201ca product entirely of the Pacific Northwest Ski Association.\u201d<\/p>\n Johnson won in another way, though, with her boyfriend waiting at the base of her super-G run to pop the question<\/a>. Torrent forward Hannah Bilka and defender Cayla Barnes are also on the roster.<\/p>\n Torrent defender Aneta Tejralov\u00e1 is playing for Team Czechia.<\/p>\n Knight tied the record for the most career Olympic goals (14) in U.S. women\u2019s ice hockey history during the first weekend of the Games. In both men\u2019s and women\u2019s hockey, the USA men were the previous overall record holders, shutting out their opposition for 245 minutes back in 1924.<\/p>\n Team USA will face off against Team Canada in the Women\u2019s Gold Medal Game on Thursday, February 19, at 10:10 a.m. PST.<\/p>\n U.S. women\u2019s hockey is playing in the gold medal game for the fifth consecutive Winter Olympics, earning a gold medal in the 2018 Winter Olympics, and silver medals in 2010, 2014, and 2022.<\/p>\n Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer is competing for Team Germany, while right-wingers Eeli Tolvanen and Kaapo Kakko are playing for Team Finland.
