The Eagles were one and done in the playoffs, but it wasn’t all bad for a team that finished the regular season 11- 6 overall. The first back-to-back NFC East Champion since the 2001-04 Eagles (four) over two decades ago, Philadelphia is the only NFL team to repeat as a division winner in 2025.

With the new league year quickly approaching, Nick Shook of NFL.com ranked all 63 quarterbacks who started a game last season by tier. Philadelphia had two signal callers make the list, led by Jalen Hurts, who ranked No. 19.

Jalen Hurts was at his best when the Eagles went up-tempo, an admission that made me wonder whether removing the thought process from playing quarterback might be best for him. The scheme certainly didn’t help him, and offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo was promptly fired after the Eagles’ season ended in a first-round postseason exit. But I truly believe Hurts would benefit from shedding his focus on making the perfect play, an outcome that could be expedited by new OC Sean Mannion.

In 2025, Hurts was 294-454 passing (64.8%), throwing for 3,224 yards and a 25:6 TD: INT ratio to go with 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in 16 regular-season games. Hurts ranked 6th in the NFL in total touchdowns (33), behind Matthew Stafford (46), Josh Allen (39), Trevor Lawrence (38), Drake Maye (35), and Jared Goff (34). Hurts joined an elite company this season, becoming one of only five quarterbacks since 2000 to post 30 or more total touchdowns in four straight seasons, joining Drew Brees (2008-16), Allen (2020-25), Aaron Rodgers (2008-12), and Russell Wilson (2017-20).

Philadelphia hired Sean Mannion as offensive coordinator and Josh Grizzard as passing game coordinator, and the big question will center around how Jalen Hurts will mesh with his sixth offensive coordinator since joining the Eagles, and it’ll be the most important off-season of his career. Mannion, who spent nine seasons in the NFL as a backup quarterback and has just two seasons of coaching experience, will work to make Hurts more efficient on throws across the middle and to bring more innovation and creativity to the offense.

This article originally appeared on Eagles Wire: Jalen Hurts lands at No. 19 in an NFL.com ranking of QBs for 2025

https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/nfl-writer-ranks-eagles-jalen-164133490.html

With Super Bowl 60 complete, every team in the NFL can enter the off-season with an optimistic outlook and dreams of traveling to Inglewood, California,…

[1

post-1160278","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-sports","wpcat-1-id
["GET
