Arsenal loanee set for 2-4 week absence after injury setback<\/p>\n

Louie Copley<\/a> made a positive start to his loan spell with Crawley Town, but an ankle injury is proving problematic for the Arsenal 19-year-old at the moment.<\/p>\n Copley suffered the setback after just two games with Crawley, missing the next three matches through the injury. The teenager then returned to the bench against Cambridge United last week on Tuesday, before playing 45 minutes against Tranmere last Saturday.<\/p>\n Yet it seems Copley wasn\u2019t quite ready to return, and he now faces a further spell on the sidelines with the same problem.<\/p>\n Photo via Crawley Town on Instagram<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s probably going to be another two weeks minimum, four weeks maximum,\u201d Crawley Town boss Scott Lindsey said<\/a> this week. \u201cI know it\u2019s vague but he\u2019s not our player, so we\u2019ve got to be mindful of that.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have to be governed by what Arsenal see and say as well. Ricky [McFarlane], my strength and conditioning coach \u2013 he\u2019s in touch with them and we\u2019ve built a really good relationship with that side of it as well.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s rolled his ankle and it\u2019s not right yet. Lindsey praised the Arsenal midfielder<\/a> as \u201cthe best player on the pitch by a mile\u201d on his debut.<\/p>\n \u201cLouie Copley was outstanding today,\u201d the manager said then. \u201cI\u00a0thought he looked brave on the ball, he\u2019s got those long legs to make tackles and I thought he was outstanding. I\u2019m really pleased with him.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s just a shame the youngster hasn\u2019t had many more opportunities to show what he can do since then.<\/p>\n If he\u2019s out for just the next two weeks, he\u2019ll only miss two further games, but a four-week absence could mean five further matches on the sidelines \u2013 in addition to the two he\u2019s missed this week.<\/p>\n
