Urijah Faber is looking forward to the return of two big names in women\u2019s MMA.<\/strong><\/p>\n Ronda Rousey will make her comeback on May 16, marking her first fight in a decade.<\/p>\n Her opponent, Gina Carano, has not competed since 2009. The fight is part of a Netflix event promoted by Jake Paul\u2019s Most Valuable Promotions.<\/p>\n Photo by Ethan Miller\/Getty Images<\/p>\n Some fans have voiced concerns that the fight between Rousey and Carano is happening a decade and a half too late.<\/p>\n Sean Strickland, prior to his TKO win over Anthony Hernandez at UFC Houston, made his feelings clear about the bout.<\/p>\n But during a chat with Bloody Elbow, Urijah Faber had a different view on Strickland\u2019s criticism.<\/p>\n The UFC Hall of Famer wants everyone to remember how impressive Carano was before she left MMA to pursue an acting career.<\/p>\n Faber said: \u201cI don\u2019t agree with Sean Strickland, who\u2019s not excited about that match.<\/p>\n \u201cFirst of all, Gina Carano didn\u2019t suck. She\u2019s a bad chick.<\/p>\n \u201cHer dad is a friend of mine. He was a professional football player for a lot of years, and an amazing athlete himself. And she was a knockout artist; she was tough.<\/p>\n \u201cI think her and Rousey is going to be a great match. I\u2019m excited for it.<\/p>\n \u201cI do wish it was on a UFC card. Hopefully, they are going to get compensated.<\/p>\n \u201cThe UFC, we are not worried about the UFC. They are in a good place.\u201d<\/p>\n Last week, Strickland called Rousey vs. Carano just \u2018two middle-aged women fighting\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s f\u2014ing r\u2014\u2014-,\u201d the former middleweight champion stated.<\/p>\n \u201cRonda Rousey\u2019s gonna steamroll her. Ronda was an Olympian that was a multi-time world champion.<\/p>\n \u201cGina Carano was pretty in a time when women\u2019s MMA sucked. It\u2019s still not very good, but when Gina Carano was fighting, it was significantly worse.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re just gonna watch two middle-aged women, f\u2014ing going through menopause, fight each other.<\/p>\n \u201cI have no interest in that.
